The english media want you believe the issue is his deferred wages when in reality it’s him not wanting to join a shit club in Europa

One club desperate to get rid of a player they are unable to pay
One club desperate to sign a player who doesn't even want to join them
Yikes
A trash transfer 'saga' between two stupid teams

How can we not love De Jong, rather clinging onto the feet of Barca unwanted than to throw himself into new lover Man U, just goes to show Man U has no attraction power to top talent, n a now just a place for second rate ppl like old CR XD

I'd be interested in reading a thorough breakdown by a savvy and theoretically neutral party (e.g. the "Swiss Ramble" guy on Twitter) about Barcelona's state of affairs and how it all possibly works in the long run. Madridista media in Spain were rambling about Barcelona being the next Milan and needing to bow out of serious competition for about a handful of years before the activity in the last couple of weeks, now they're saying that Farca is destroying their future in exchange for short sightedness and that Laporta is only doing this to save his behind. Then if you read what Cule fans have to say it suddenly feels like Barcelona have no problems and it's a clean slate.
My understanding is that Barcelona have sold 25% of their TV rights (valued in around 1 Billion euros apparently) for 540 million, and that this gives them good liquidity in the short term but that this supposes a loss of income in the long run.
So what are the conclusions and the scenarios we can posit and what exactly is the standing of these clowns in the short term and long term?
Would like to see the bottom line and less extremist BS for once and for all. What of the theories that Laporta might be counting on the future development of the Super League or taking the club away from the socio-led structure?

FC Barcelona have activated their second economic lever of the summer after transferring 15% of their television rights to American investment firm Sixth Street for the next 25 years in exchange for a total capital gain of €400mn ($408mn).

The registration of Raphinha and Robert Lewandowski is not guaranteed at Barcelona.

If Frenkie de Jong refuses to leave or take a pay-cut, Barça will have a HUGE problem.

Javier Tebas (La Liga president & Real Madrid enthusiast): "Barça are on the right track to register ALL their signings. They still have some details to complete, but they have time."
It's in this fools' interest to have a strong Barca who can compete otherwise nobody will watch this league

You're falling for it again
btw his exact words: "If I say I don't support Madrid, then that would be hypocritical and I would be painted as a liar. And I certainly don't like to be called a liar."
