Yeah, but take this match for example. They created a chance on a counter attack within the first 20 minutes that could’ve and should’ve been a goal. They didn’t score because they somehow managed to overcook and fluff the pass to the guy that would’ve been through on goal. Danger averted, despite the blatant lack of awareness in seeing their player run in behind our defense.

Can’t complain, of course, but I don’t think we look all that solid at the back. At least, I would never have predicted that we’ve conceded less goals than any other team in the league.

That was all due to Marcelo. He’s the problem. He rushed trying to get the ball and everyone had to rotate, which leaves us thin in defense.

He’s such an enormous liability. We’ve got one of the best defenders in the world with Mendy and one of the worst of top teams with Marcelo

Levante a such a team of diving cunts... and the referee just allows it...

Imagine if Benzema was also a good finisher... that footballer would be a dream to watch

I agree with this part. When you look at us, even when Mendy is on, you don't get the feeling that we are this impregnable hedgehog that conceded less than other team in the league.

My explanation is, we have two CBs who are pretty hot-and-cold. On their day, they are amazing, but they are also and almost always prone to making mistakes. And the reason we have conceded less is because those two have been on the hot side more so than the cold one so far this season, but you never know when everything changes.

Prime Benzema has a good shot at goal and decides to pass it instead

Something is fucking wrong with Benzema. Seriously.

Can't believe we're still 0-0. The amount of great goalscoring chances we've created so far should've been enough to be at least a goal up.

We really need Benzema to improve his finishing here.

I really can't complain about the way we have been playing so far. We're completely controlling the tempo of the game and creating chances to score. We're also a little vulnerable to counters but that's understandable given the way we're set up and the personnel we have at the back (looking at you Marcelo).

All we need right now is for our guys up front to be more clinical with their chances, especially if it's a clear-cut one. Not too much to ask I think.

Relying on Benzema to carry the scoring load consistently is suicide.

Isco is fucking useless. Put someone in there that does something semi-useful.

He did give a goalscoring opportunity on a silver platter to Benzema though, so he's not completely useless.

Really? I find Isco is actually doing well enough. He definitely should have an assist but Benzema decided to pass it to the keeper. Mind you, if we had a better RW, that'll be nice but our options are really limited. Surprisingly.

Levante came close to scoring again, but fortunately for us they ended up squandering it.

We really need to score now because if Levante ends up somehow scoring, it would be cruel, really.

Maybe our forwards don't deserve to win tonight for their underwhelming display, but our midfield and even defense deserve to walk away with the three points today.
