Now that the Transfer Window is really, really over; let's have some overviews from each club. Ideally, I would have loved it if Mole started the proceedings, but don't think we can count on him, can we???

#1. Have we managed to improved the squad?

No, Nein, Non, Não. Our squad is exactly what it was before.

#2. Have we managed to improve any particular position?

No, Nein, Non, Não. Didn't add the badly needed depth in wingback positions.

#3. Did we lose any key/important player?

No, Nein, Non, Não. It's kinda odd really, we got so used to losing a players each summer (sometimes in winter too).

#4. Have we managed to offload the deadwoods?

Mostly. Not sure if Lallana and Lovren have much future with us, but they can be useful if situation is dire.

1. Yes but we still lack a DM

2. Great revamp at CB position, decent upgrade in midfield with Ramsey

3. Only Cancelo (don't care) and Kean

4. Absolutely not

Really doesn't make a difference but i prefer the current system. However it can be a bit unfair since clubs have to be cautious of players demanding moves abroad when they can't sign a replacement.

Not gonna comment on Roma's mercato for at least a couple of months. On the surface it looks like Petrachi has largely managed to do what Monchi couldn't and fix the mess he left, but only time will tell which of these players will actually have an impact.

Right now, Spinazzola and Zappacosta are already on the treatment table we're just 2 matchdays in. Not a good start.

If Spurs ever win the PL or the CL, I am leaving this forum for good. I don't think I can stay here if that happens.

Lol this will be funny. Let's see.
1st question. No nada. Early signs state defense has improved, but midfield has gone to shit and well, attack has weakened. So, overall a friggin negative.

2nd question
Yea defense I guess. (Hurray hail Woodward)

3rd question
Quite a few. Biggest loss is Ander Herrera for fking nothing to PSG. Lukaku, atleast in the short term is a loss. So is Smalling.

4th question
Alexis Sanchez

What a foolish mistake. I for one believe a team with Juan Foyth and Kyle Walker Peters playing RB, Davinson Sanchez at CB, and the great midfield duo of Winks-Sissoko have a great chance to win the PL and CL

1. Obviously not.
2. Well we added Promes and didn't sell any wingers so I guess we improved here though I'm not sure by how much.
3. De Ligt, de Jong, Schöne
4. Yes, good job from Overmars in that regard. Sold half a dozen players like Dolberg, Kristensen, Wöber etc and got about 45m for them.

Bit conflicted tbh. We sold fewer key player than expected but of all the new signings only Martinez has played well so far.. well we'll see. Think we should've kept Schöne.

1 Overally yes, and we 've added Conte as manager.

2 We've changed system , the matter is more complex .. but I believe we've done enough to satisfy our coach

3 Surely . We've lost   3 key players ( last year ) as Nainggolan, Perisic, Icardi . Provided to replace them though

4 Yes, it was our real priority . Fundamental for working under Conte. Getting rid of Icardi, Nainggolan , Perisic ( our key players on paper, but became a problem), Dalbert, Joao Mario. Shame just on loan , but it happens when you give elevate contracts

Hazard, Cahill, Luiz and Higuain. Not great.

#4. Have we managed to offload the deadwoods?

Yes, Zappacosta, Drinkwater, Bakayoko and countless loan players were sold Thumbs up

#1. Have we managed to improved the squad?

Yes, no doubt.

#2. Have we managed to improve any particular position?

Improved every position except fullback where Spinazzola was sold without replacement. We will see on the Danilo/Cancelo experiment.

#3. Did we lose any key/important player?

None.

#4. Have we managed to offload the deadwoods?

No, and this was the big loss. We brought in a bunch of players to improve the squad but failed to sell the players that they replaced: Mandzukic, Matuidi, Can, Rugani, Perin, Pjaca. The last two will leave in January after they get back to health.

#1. Have we managed to improved the squad?

Remains to be seen, by the looks of it, just a teensy bit

#2. Have we managed to improve any particular position?

LB, CDM and LW.

CB, CM x2 (and a lot of depth) still remain suspect

#3. Did we lose any key/important player?

You could say about Cutrone

#4. Have we managed to offload the deadwoods?

Mauri, Montolivo, Bertolacci, Strinic, Laxalt, Silva, Abate and Zapata

I miss the times when Juventus used to sign Lanzafame, Marco Motta and Armand Traore...

At least Milan is still at that level

Yes, I was dreading an exodus. Perhaps few other rate players weren't needed by the top clubs while the mid-level clubs weren't ready/able to meet your valuation.

Zigra wrote:of all the new signings only Martinez has played well so far
Perhaps you are judging the new signings based on the players you sold. It's not normal to find some phenomenon talent overnight.

Hm, I don't think so. They've been among the worst players on the pitch tbh but I hope that's just because they need some confidence and obviously they need to get used to a new system.

We haven't really played well at all so far tbf.
