Should've been animated imo.

I struggle to see how interesting it will be without the depth of characters you have in Geralt's timeline.

But we'll see.

But the Witcher universe is that interesting though and Geralt while he is what he is technically isn't that important to the Witcherverse as a whole.

But if they made the same mistakes as they did in the Netflix show then it will fail since Cavill's Geralt carried the show and they failed to display what the Witcherverse is supposed to be.

I still wonder why Fringilla is black if she's supposed to be related to Anna Henrietta and resemble Yennefer enough for Geralt to mistakenly call her Yen

That's some serious budget casting lol

Hopefully more of Geralt this season and less of everyone else

Maybe, can't say I noticed either way. But her charisma and especially the djinn episode sold me on her.

Well she is very raw so she probably will improve as it was her first big break in season 1.

But any scene with Henry Cavill is just >>>>>>>>

Not gonna happen, i explained this before Season 1 happened but the books weren't mainly about Geralt in the way the games were.

Also i have criticisms of season 1 but almost none of them are related to Yennefer.

well, i wasn't singling just her out. Most of the cast is quite shit in all honesty (not surprising since they are all unknown). The difference in quality between Cavill's scenes and other scenes is hugeeeeeeeeeeee.

Hopefully it will be better this time around.

Personally my biggest criticisms were how Nilfgaard was portrayed and how the Ciri scenes led to meeting Geralt which made the moment of them seeing each other incredibly bad.

I also didn't like Cahir and Vilgefortz as characters but both those things are fixable.

Yea hated that too. Felt so forced.

The problem with it is they ignored a lot of what actually built to that situation in the books in favour of other things so when they actually met each other there was no emotional reaction from the viewer.

It was just a lot less meaningful than it should have been.

The casting was terrible as a whole.

Yen's actress is good but she didn't look nor play the part well and had none of the mystique of her. Lets not even speak of Triss.

Ciri I was satisfied with along with Jasper and Cavill was basically perfect, as being an über fan of Witcher helped his role.

I personally found one of the last scenes where Geralt and Ciri met very good even if the build-up to it was off-key. But the directing and score when they met, was done well.

The build is the issue Arq, it meant less because their first meeting has no emotional impact.

I agree despite that the scene is well done tho.

The lead developer said the timeline will be linear now and hopefully as a result, spread less thin and focusing on a tighter direction, rather than just being told as per canon.

Looks good. Production level seems to have gone up too.
