Saliba to Nice too. I've seen a lot of people criticize the club on social media for not playing him this season, but it sounds like he was facing some extenuating personal circumstances and I don't doubt that he wasn't performing well enough. It's too bad he hasn't been the world class young CB yet that so many of us had gotten our hopes up about, but hopefully this loan does him some good.

Ozil to Fenerbahce or DC United seems like it's on the verge of happening as well, and Matt Macey might be going to Hibernian. Also seeing rumours linking Mustafi, Sokratis and Balogun (loan) with exits. The squad trimming process seems to be off to a strong start! Hopefully we can get enough players out to afford a new addition.

Balogun close to signing a pre-contract with an unnamed foreign club. Huge shame and hopefully the last in a line of talented youth players to leave on frees.

With that, I doubt Nketiah gets sold, especially this month. With Laca's future unclear, we're in even more need for a striker come summertime.

Sell Laca, Willian and Nketiah and get Aguero for free on willian esque salary. Aguero, Aubameyang and Balogun to be our CF choices. Balogun will know that he will have his chances given the injury history of Aguero and he can learn from Aguero as well.

I would guess there are more of the senior players that would jump at the option to leave instead of spending the latter years of their career at a mid-table club fighting to get back to European competition. Especially since from what I see the club seems to lack a plan.
