the "one more match" refrain beginning to sound like Christian vs Randy Orton in early 2010s lol

With how much talent is coming in it's genuinely making me think that he might actually retire and go to commentary lol.
Or maybe this could be planting the seeds to MJF's next feud. Maybe Wardlow interferes giving Y2J the win. Remember there has been some tension between MJF and Wardlow lately especially when he couldn't beat Jericho.
I see Jericho winning this time but with some interference.
Having said that, won't be surprised either if Jericho loses again and switches to commentary permanently.

That's just it, logic dictates Jericho wins but there's enough outside noise that makes you think it's possible he could lose.
Usually with things like this it's pretty hard to actually sell the viewer on both sides but they have with this.
They have at least with me lol.

Honestly feel like it's just a way so that AEW can get away with having Jericho win against a young guy without accusations of burial.
They did the same shit with FTR and Young Bucks lol.

Honestly even if that is true lol, i don't honestly care much.
It's providing entertaining television, which I've seldom been able to say about Wrestling companies over the last 5 years.

Getting Giannis makes them the GOAT promotion tbh.
Watch WWE try and promote some NBA star who doesn't care lol.

They got Giannis through TNT/WB connection. Good on them.
TBH WWE has been far better at getting relevant current stars. They had Bad Bunny do a program at Wrestlemania who is a megastar. Most streamed artist of 2020. Such a an upgrade over Kid Rock

Last time Shaq was on AEW he had to get surgery for a torn rotator cuff lol.
Otherwise i absolutely believe it would have happened.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 34
how as a commentator do you not slip up sometimes with these name changes of wrestlers, Bryan Danielson sounds so weird in comparison to Daniel Bryan that im used to
anyway, Punk looked good, not that i was surprised. Understand why he went with Darby first match back... someone that wouldn't wear him down physically, so he just had to keep up with his pace

One of the best PPV's I've watched in the last 10-15 years and this is coming from someone who isn't really a hardcore wrestling fan.
For me match of the night was arguably MJF-Jericho. The finish was very well done.

You aren't the only one who is saying that.
Regarding Jericho vs MJF i watched a 45 minute highlight video on Youtube and i agree.
It's almost like when you don't do false finishes every damn week it actually works lol.
Glad Jericho won, i kinda talked myself into him retiring but i never really wanted it to happen.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 34
Best match of the night was Lucha Bros vs Young Bucks. Top 3 would be that, Miro vs Kingston and Moxley vs Kojima for me. Jericho vs MJF was okay, got to admit the false finish got me.
CM Punk understandably looked rusty. Not surprising at all, not everyone is Shawn Michaels and can look like he was never gone in first match back after years. Darby was a good first opponent for him because Darby can sell his ass off. Seen people say Punk was always a more grounded technical wrestler which is true but come on, its also being very exaggerated. You could see he did not do a lot of his more athletic signature moves like springboard clothesline, suicide dive and Macho Man elbow drop.
Was a great show. I heard Bryan was supposed to debut in New York but they sped that up because there is uncertainty surrounding the show because of COVID. There's 50/50 rumors on Bray Wyatt coming in. One source says its happening, another said its not and he is likely headed to Impact alongside Braun and Buddy Murphy.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 34
I think Bray is more likely to not come in.
Seems a weird fit with AEW, they don't do supernatural shit really and Tony Khan has admitted publicly he hated the Teleporting stuff with Matt Hardy.
That's fine tho, Roster still stacked as hell and unlike WWE won't be held back by a terrible creative process.

Maybe, i just feel like he's always heavily relied on smoke and mirrors.
Don't get me wrong he's damn good at it and been horribly mismanaged but so far AEW hasn't really shown much of an interest in characters like that.
