A bit like Kimmich then, eh

From the looks of it ATA is also very strong defensively too which is better than both Marcelo and Alves already, although obviously still to develop his attacking all round skills more, but at this age he definitely has the potential to become one of the greats. He absolutely kept Alba at bay and basically all teams failed to do this season vs us.
Maicon was also a monster RB at his peak for quite a few years. Mostly its been Brazilians, and now England are producing. When will he replace Trippier?

2 more assists today.
18 assists from RB this season. Crazy.

He is quite simply too bad at defending to deserve that title.
Great player on the whole, no doubt, but very questionable defensive behaviour and quite frequently a weak spot targeted by opposition coaches.

he gets cought out at the back sometimes but that is down to how klopp makes him play. he plays so far forward that he is bound to get cought at the back sometimes.Hapless_Hans wrote:He is quite simply too bad at defending to deserve that title.

Problem with Trent is that we have no idea where he will progress. He is already the best passer of the ball at LFC but at CM, it could hurt him since you have much more time to pass at RB.

He's on loan from Madrid. He was very bad for us, but he's been developing nicely at Dortmund and getting a lot of praise.
Definitely improving, but there's no way in hell he's the best RB in the world or even close to that.

ahh brother rincon, you should've seen Carvajal in his prime. He was a beast with no equal.
I don't know what happened to him, but now he sucks though.

Savage
...but untrue. Carvajal in his prime was truly monstrous and one of the very few fullbacks who were great at both attacking and defending.
Now, he's just a shadow of his former self.

He isn’t a RB! He plays LB for his country and LW and LB for Dortmund. He is also called by his first name Achraf!

Re: Best Right Back in the World: Alexander Trent Arnold
Who is his competition tho. In the PL the closest I can think of is Leicester's Pereira and even he is only decent. Wan Bissaka is a monster defensively but equally a dud in offense. There's a real dearth in quality RBs right now. The elites have all regressed.
Having said that, ya he is a quality player. Robertson (who I rate higher) and him are Pool's most important players.

Yes I agree, Robertson is by far a more rounded player. But he is old and may be TAA will reach an even higher level as he grows up. AWB is good defensively while TAA is good going forward.Glory wrote:Who is his competition tho. In the PL the closest I can think of is Leicester's Pereira and even he is only decent.
