Bucks in five. Been saying it since that first game.
Team needed a wake up call and we got it. They've been great since then. Giannis is a monster out there right now.
I'm feeling good

I see that Boston got 7 points from their bench in combined 59 minutes xD
That is next level bad.
At least the Rockets Warriors tie is a close one.

I admit i was wrong about Boston.
I didn't think they would be this bad from 3 and in general this terrible on offence tbh.
Part of me is happy though, Philly/Toronto vs Bucks is way more interesting to me than Boston vs Philly/Toronto would be.

Kyrie is an all-star who is trying to play like a superstar and the rest of the starters are good enough to carry a team to the playoffs, but not good enough to carry a team in the playoffs.

Re: The Official Dwayne Wade <<<<<< you thread
I don't think that's the problem.
They barely run offence and when they got open shots they'd always miss.
The issue i had with them last year crept it's ugly head again, too many times they would take bad shots without any penetration and ball movement.
People will talk about Giannis but reality is they lost because they got outplayed by Milwaukee's bench which shouldn't happen for an entire quarter.

Re: The Official Dwayne Wade <<<<<< you thread
I think you're just saying the same thing in different words: players not being good enough or performing below expectations.
Morris, Tatum, Horford, Brown, all these guys are "quite good", in the 10-to-15 ppg area, and it's just proving for the second year running that that recipe will get you nicely into the playoffs but doesn't give you a real chance of winning the title. Maybe if Kyrie wasn't shooting some 9% worse in the playoffs compared to the rs it would be a different story, I don't know, but I don't see the Celtics ever reaching the Eastern finals with this core (unless Tatum fulfills his potential in the next couple of seasons and becomes a 25 ppg beast, which can happen, imo).

Re: The Official Dwayne Wade <<<<<< you thread
Well i agree in the general scheme of things but yesterday i mainly saw a team which tries to make shots they can't make consistently and didn't really pass the ball from one side to the other.
Yesterday wasn't really a question of not being good enough IMO, it was more a question of bad decision making. I had the same issue when they played the Cavs last year.
I thought it wouldn't be a problem this year but i guess i was wrong.

Re: The Official Dwayne Wade <<<<<< you thread
Haven't they been pretty bad at decision making all year though?
That's the main gripe with Stevens and...well, if this team made better decisions, they shouldn't have the problems they have right now with the Bucks, and they should also have done better in the regular season. They're certainly talented enough. I completely agree with your criticisms though. They settle way too often. Part of that is the Bucks doing (the prospect of driving to the basket into Giannis/Lopez should strike fear into any player), but a lot of it is poor decision making.
They should be spamming Kyrie/Horford pick and pop or pick and roll every trip down at the very least. Bucks adapted to make that less successful, but it's clearly still their best option.
Edit: To quote me from post game one "Celtics showed a huge willingness to settle for 2P jumpshots, so I'm not really worried. If they came out shooting a lot of threes, I would have been a little worried."
and that's exactly what's happened. Unfortunately for the Celtics too, when they have had threes they just haven't shot them particularly well.
Series isn't over, but I can't see Bucks losing all three of the next three

Think it's best for Celtics and Kyrie to break up. Kyrie cannot lead a team to the championships he needs a better player around him.

Yeah the 1st quarter made me a little nervousness but man did we take them apart in the second.
At least after Barcelona disappointment I can take some peace here.

You can see spectators doing the airplane in the stands
Embiid did nothing tonight, he has given up like most of his teammates. It's over for Philly imo. Raptors have a great momentum, always first on the ball and more efficient at shooting.

This has been Lowry's best performance in the playoffs this year by far.
If he can play like this consistently they have a chance to make the finals, but considering it's Lowry that doesn't seem likely.

Re: The Official Dwayne Wade <<<<<< you thread
The craziest thing about Kawhi is he plays the game at his own pace and can still easily pull up from three or for a midrange J, or drop his shoulder and split the defence for a dunk or for a layup. And that's only talking about his offence.

That's exactly what it is, the Kobe treatment.
Where the myth eclipses the reality.
I just watched game 4 the other night with some friends and no one brought this shit up.
I know last second shots are not the be all and end all for the "clutch" discussion but come on!
These two (ESPECIALLY these two) are not held to the standard of past greats. They do less for equal credit.
And that Pyramid Nick posted just solidified the madness.

I don't think it's just these two though, i think in general this generation are not held to the same standards.
