Don't remind me please. Every time I watch De Ligt play, I forget he's only 19. That kid will blossom into a beast of a CB if he develops in the right environment.

As for Madrid, well they went for Militao instead. Only time will tell whether Madrid made the right choice, but I would be very, very, very surprised if he was better than De Ligt.

Seems a bit unrealistic that we offer 15M salary, but who knows, while we're at it.

Nothing can top my immense astonishment of when we signed Ronaldo, De Ligt would be a mild surprise compared to that. I don't care about salaries anymore, not my money nor am i an accountant, i just want to win Champions League and success in further years. De Ligt is the best prospect in the world at his position so buying him at any price would be a good piece of business.

Having Cristiano in there is so much more than goals and clearly has had Juventus more attractive due to his obvious status and that post-match talk with de Ligt, his visitation of their facilities a year ago and said admiration for Chiellini-Bonnuci may be an influence.

I'd rule this out but after the Cristiano saga anything can happen.

But personally expecting him to pull a Berbatov and ditch them for PSG.

We need to say an unpopular thing : PPS have lost their appeal.

Neymar was because of clause, Mbappe is French and he already played in Ligue One, so it doesn't count.

Juve is confirmed to be the favorite channel for Raiola though. Probably it makes the difference. They are used to pay high commissions for him.

They lost their appeal the moment they let Chong, Trashford and McTommy beat them 3-1 in Paris. Also, I think with Barcelona, it was not the transfer fee, it's the wages being asked for. Of course De Ligt would want Barcelona but I also think he wants get paid as much as possible.

Leonardo came on as sporting director and PSG backed off their offer... to focus on the midfield and fullbacks. That's what happened. Juve offered the most money.

Leonardo took over on June 14th as a fyi.

PSG needs to stay within FFP and, until they maybe (big maybe) sell Neymar, they need like 4 CMs and 2 RBs most urgently. Bernat is the starting LB so they're after that area too. They have CBs.

Makes sense. Juventus is the easiest place for Raiola to move him on again in 3 - 4 years, possibly to Man United after which he can move him on again easily. From PSG it would have been impossible to move him on, they'd just offer double the salary for contract extension to which De Ligt could not say "no" but Raiola would get no transfer commissions.
