Only club in France that have that ambition. They have so much ambition. (:

PSG have offered €15m-a-season and a transfer fee €90m for Matthijs de Ligt. They will do anything it takes to sign the Ajax defender this summer. (Source: SPORT)

dutch league to the french league
it's like a sidestep, only you're locked down into a contract with oil barons that will never let you leave
tbf though, he can afford to sign a 5 year contract with them, will still be not even in his prime when it's up
see it happening 100%

I love how simply clubs differentiate mercenaries from players.

Matthijs De Ligt's agent Mino Raiola is currently in Paris to try to complete a deal to PSG. The French club have offered a far higher salary than Barcelona. (Source: Di Marzio)

Re: Mathijs de Ligt to Bayern Munich
Yeah, PSG will happen for sure. Abidal (Barca sporting director) posted a Cruyff quote picture on Instagram, something along the lines of: "He who has second thoughts of coming here no longer serves us." About as official as it gets.
Most logical destination for a Raiola client.

Agreed but for the very least, PSG is actually making sense with this signing. Mathijs better make his residence permanent in Paris as he'll be staying there for a very long time if he goes there.

Re: Mathijs de Ligt to Bayern Munich
He is like 20 no? He will be fine, he will make millions at PSG and then move on in his mid twenties. This is no different from signing Mbappe.
He is in a unique position to make bread right away 14-15 mil net offer is insane for a player his age, a center back nonetheless. Allow it

Re: Mathijs de Ligt to Bayern Munich
He will not move on for 2 reasons:
He will not develop in Paris. When all your teammates are partying non-stop, you will do so as well. Football becomes secondary. If you are a 19 year old who gets 15 million net a year in Paris while winning the domestic league in your sleep come Christmas, ya ain't developing shit. Meanwhile other defensive talents will emerge. Marquinhos was also a huge talent, "next Thiago Silva" etc. No one is talking about him these days.
Second reason: It's fan fiction that an elite football player will deliberately let his contract run out. What if PSG offers him even more insane wages in 3 years? He says no to that? After all he went for the money in the first place. Is he suddenly going to take a pay cut to move elsewhere?
He is stuck there forever.

Re: Mathijs de Ligt to Bayern Munich
Please tell me how playing in Barcelona has helped Dembele develop, after all he is surrounded by such elite professionals who never party. I mean the boy is an example of professionalism right?
Oh and tell me about Semedo too, Coutinho, That Brazilian lad you signed from Bordeaux, I mean signing for barca just guarantees that you become elite doesn't it?

Re: Mathijs de Ligt to Bayern Munich
Barca doesn't guarantee success in development but sure as hell is a much more serious club than PSG where it won't be allowed to do whatever you want. Dembélé came and missed training sessions and then was put in his place by senior players, the coach and the media, even ex players. Other than that Dembélé is injured non-stop, awful comparison. Who keeps Neymar from flying over to Brazil to bang his sister every other month, miss trophy celebrations etc.?
Also Barca is competitive, Barca has Madrid to compete with non-stop. What does PSG have? Lille? lol

Marquinhos and Verratti moved to PSGat young ages and seem to have done well for themselves so far, i'm inclined to think that de Ligt will be fine

Neither Verratti nor Marquinhos are even regarded as top 100 footballers these days.

De Ligt's development will be far better under Tuchel than it could be under Valverde

oh stop you can't even stop Dembele from staying up late playing video games and being late in training. Neymar started going to his sister's birthday in barca lol, you allowed it.futbol wrote:Barca doesn't guarantee success in development but sure as hell is a much more serious club than PSG where it won't be allowed to do whatever you want. Tighten your own house because you talk about other teams.
Sorry if it looks like De Ligt prefers to go to PSG over barca, your ego will recover lol

Hey Nick... it feels like Madrid is Madrid again doesn't it. Thank god. I know you defended the recent policies. But this summer has to feel a lot better.
