Mathijs de Ligt to Bayern Munich
All done to Barcelona ?
So sad we'll not a stand a chance even more now that he knocked us out
Barca have their midfield and defense set for the next 10 years.
No doubt he will be in the very best in his position in a few years time.

Re: Mathijs de Ligt to Bayern Munich
All kidding aside, I respect Barça so much for having very high standards. The second a great player comes to surface, they immediately go for them without even blinking. They paid 70m for De Jong and I expect the De Ligt transfer to be somewhere around the same region.
It doesn't matter how much they win, they always never hesitate to strengthen their squad with proper great talent.
Kudos to them for not standing for mediocrity. I wish we had a board as ambitious as them.

These Barcaphiles need to chill out and sit down, this is 2019, no one cares about La Masia anymore. Remember Samper? Yeah, didn't think so.
Good lord, almost as insufferable as United fans and their trash academy players.

Who? don't put Masia scrubs in the same bracket as world class youngsters and products of great youth systems.
You'll soon be spending 9 figures to replace Rakitic and Busquets while these generic scrubs fade into mid-table irrelevancy.

Lol Samper.
Bojan, Gai Assulin, Cuenca, Munir, Tello, Bartra, Jonathan Dos Santos.
Could make an 11 of overhyped Masia scrubs from this decade.

Re: Mathijs de Ligt to Bayern Munich
Puig is actually a great La Masia talent. He's still young and more worryingly he has the physique of a 13 year old girl. But he is very intelligent and tidy technically without looking flashy like the all-flash no-substance Isco type that only people with no football brain seem to rate.Kaladin wrote:Puig

Re: Mathijs de Ligt to Bayern Munich
Bartra could walk into the Milan team... the rest sure did not live up to expectations, but most of them (aside from Bojan) were never the next 'big' thing at Barca. Cuenca and Tello both got minutes but no one expected them to replace Pedro. Gai Assulin was only ever rated online because of FM and not by the club itself. JDS had a decent following mainly because so many mexicans put their hopes on him.
Also, what about the Icardis, Bellerins, Thiagos, etc, who have managed to be successful outside Barcelona?

I gotta say, I have never thought about this word before, but I absolutely love it. Definitely a strong contender to be used as an alternative to "roflstomped" and "ended".

Do we need a transfer watch for a lad we know will join barca? Barca are just looking to get rid of Umtiti at this point

Yeah Umtiti has knee issues again, this mans carrer is going to shit. A shame cause I liked him
Also talking about La Masia, what about Ajax's keeper Onana? He came out of the fraud factory, about to play in the CL final

Re: Mathijs de Ligt to Bayern Munich
You're so quick to give up on him though. For a defender who has been really, really solid for you, your board seems fairly predisposed to quickly sweep him under the rug.
They'll probably use him as a makeweight to land another high-profile player.

We're not giving up on him. Fact is though he suffers from a career-ending injury and will probably never be 100% again.

Re: Mathijs de Ligt to Bayern Munich
Tbh if you can get a good chunk of money for him, you should sell him if you're concerned with his injury problems.
Especially considering you got him for €25m while City paid €70m for an inferior Frenchman.

The signing of De Ligt has become complicated for Barca
Damn, do we still have a tiny chance ??
Or maybe he's headed to the EPL idk

Re: Mathijs de Ligt to Bayern Munich
Mino is driving the negotiations, he wants to get paid, but make no mistakes, at the end of the day, Barca are in the driving seat and Barca are were De Ligt wants to be.
They will most likely get rid of Numptiti and sign De Ligt in the summer.

If Umtiti is going to replaced, make sure he doesn't have any brothers or sisters.

Re: Mathijs de Ligt to Bayern Munich
He should go to a team with a long term plan where he would start week in week out. Let's consider the options:
Barcelona: He will sit on the bench. Barcelona have too many good CBs right now, they don't need him tbh.
United: He would undoubtedly start for United, but that team has no long term plans. He's too young to be part of such a team.
City: He will face stiff competition from Stones and Kompany and could end up on the bench.
Liverpool: He'd immediately replace Matip and who wouldn't want to play for Klopp.
My verdict: He should join Liverpool.
