Re: PlayStation 5
This is pretty much a worldwide event now, obviously smaller scale in other countries. Examples like footballers taking the knee in celebration and protests even happening in places like Toronto and Milan. Also Sony's HQ is in California, they are pretty much an American company too and America is their biggest market for consumers. It would be kind of off putting to have this event when so many fans are out protesting.

Also protests in Denmark tomorrow. Even here in Aarhus.

It's kind of funny that corona seems like not even a thing at this point. So many people gathering outside. Perhaps it's the warmer weather

It was always going to end up like this, you can only hold up people for so long before they go "fuck it i don't even care if i'm going to die".

Pretty much what I hear all the time IRL. Nobody gives a shit anymore. It's a miracle the government held us home for 2 straight months.Pedram wrote:Myesyats wrote:It's kind of funny that corona seems like not even a thing at this point. 2 months, summer, lack of activity & decrease of cases got everyone to say fuck this and clog the beaches, cities etc. Not saying it's right but I get where they're coming from.

Midtjylland definitely the most progressive region in Denmark so not surprised how quickly that has accumulated. Assuming you will be joining?

Best place I've ever lived. It's heaven compared to where I come from (Aabenraa in the south). Not very progressive place at all and also a total dead region with no growth because of the urbanisation.
I'll definitely stop by tomorrow to check it out.

Didn't your government tell you to not stay home?

We're allowed outside now. Still have to limit in groups of 10 iirc. But yeah, it's basically over now.
Beaches, restaurants and cinemas have opened almost fully. Only thing closed is arena events and night clubs.

Indoor bathing areas are still closed here. Other than that, things have been largely back to normal for over a month, already.

Re: PlayStation 5
Is everyone mindlessly getting the PS5 or are you going to wait for price, performance and exclusives line up?
Re: PlayStation 5
I have so many games I want to play at the moment and not enough time so I'm not thinking about getting it at launch. Only if there is truly something I need to play asap revealed (highly doubt it).
Ill probably get it some time next year.
It's the next playstation, everything I've heard about it is awesome. Doubt I wont get it eventually.

As soon as day 1 prices adjust then i'll pick it up with a new TV. So within a few months after release.
Got 6-7 must play games left for the rest of the year.

Re: PlayStation 5
I might pick it up on day one. My PS4 Pro has been having occasional heating and fan problems for more than a year now. Money isn’t an issue, so I might upgrade immediately if I need to replace it by then, or if I just get fed up by the damn fan noise.
I’m not a big fan of these early, overpriced models that typically have manufacturing issues, but I’m not going to replace my PS4 with another PS4

Is the PS5 built around 4K? and is it a large jump in quality to go to 4K?
I'm pretty behind in discussions regarding this.

Don’t quote me on this, but I read it supports native 4k that can be upscaled to 8k. I don’t suppose there will be any 8k content any of us will want to watch in the near future, but 4k provides substantially more crisp visuals if you’re not already accustomed to it. There’s also a ton of 4k content out there, and the TVs have never been cheaper.
That said, they’ll probably become even cheaper once the big brands decide to step up their marketing of 8k TVs. You might have to wait another 10 years or so for that
If you care about graphics and images that look more crisp, smooth and vibrant, then you’ll want to upgrade to 4k. If not, then your old TV will do the job just fine.

Re: PlayStation 5
I think I’ve said it before, but if I had lived by myself, and I had more time for games, I would definitely be more of a PC gamer.
Once I retire from work, my girlfriend or wife looks like a rotting tree branch, and all of my friends are dead, I’ll lock myself up in grandpa’s PC dungeon.
You have no idea how many arguments I got into with a former girlfriend because I sat up all night on the PC, or because it «looked ugly» standing in the living room, or because of cables... fuck that. It would just get even more complicated once we decide to have kids.

I think I'll end up getting a 4K TV with the PS5

Perhaps you should've upgraded the PC? It doesn't need anymore cables than console and can be integrated just like a console to your living room.

Re: PlayStation 5
PS5 support 4k just like PS4 PRO. My tv from 2015 when I moved out is still only 1080 and never got it upgraded.rincon wrote:LeVersacci wrote:As soon as day 1 prices adjust then i'll pick it up with a new TV. So within a few months after release.

So i'm getting a new tv for that reason. Maybe an 8k if the prices seems acceptable for me so I don't need to upgrade to 8k in 4 years, when there's more support for it.
The quality is better due to higher resolution.

Re: PlayStation 5
8k will take probably take a decade to become the standard, mostly because supporting tech like bandwidth and graphics power isn't there yet. 4K is definitely the best choice currently.
