Number of times 4 clubs from the same country have reached the CL quarter-finals:

3 England (07/08, 08/09, 18/19)

Sometimes think people think it's a joke the whole "GOAT league" thing but to me it's never been a joke. You couldn't get something more real.
This statistic just proves it.

the only team I do not want to face is Juventus. Otherwise on our day and Ox performing at 75%, we stand a chance against any of the remaining team

Don't think AOC would be back for the QF. He is barely playing fulltime with the reserves.Helmer wrote:the only team I do not want to face is Juventus. Otherwise on our day and Ox performing at 75%, we stand a chance against any of the remaining team

Good days. 08/09, 4 English teams in the quarters, Barca beat Lyon scoring 5 goals in Camp Nou. Wonder how it ended, can someone remind me again?

Ideally:
Juve - Barca
v
United - Liverpool
Ajax - City
v
Porto - Spurs
Really just want to avoid Barca and Liverpool. Either in the semis is fine. Would like Ajax - Porto in our bracket if we get the opponents mentioned above.

I'd rather avoid United and City, hell even Spurs. We play them minimum twice a year anyway don't need to be playing them in Europe. Dish up any of the remaining teams and we'll give it a bash and see what happens. To be honest most of the time I'm just happy to be back in the CL and enjoying the ride.

Re: CL QF draw (15/03/2019)
i would like ajax. they will come out to attack after the destruction of madrid and liverpool will smother them and ruin them on the break. they are a good team but are young and dont have great expirience

Yeah Ajax would be my preferred draw. After last season Porto may be a bit more up for it after the drubbing that we give them last season.

Re: CL QF draw (15/03/2019)
Porto are the ideal draw. Honestly think Ajax will be tough for a few of the teams left, us included. Definitely the second weakest though, but wouldn't be shocked to see them beat another top team in the tournament.
Honestly wouldn't mind Spurs at all, although I do believe they would beat Barca, Juve etc.

There's no way you actually believe this lol, or you just enjoy looking very silly after the opposite obviously happens.

It's part of his banter. We beat Spurs last year when we were worse and they were better, Barca beat them this season already 4-0 or something like that.
Porto/United
Ajax/Spurs
Liverpool
City
Barca
Is the order I see for us in favourable draws.

We do have the players who on their day, can influence games and can beat anyone. But yea you are right, player for player, we rank quite lower.
Just want to enjoy the experience, nothing more. It's been a while we have come this far, and it looks like next year will be pretty hard too.
Fluke win claims, well I can see, why neutrals are saying that. But I beg to differ. We had luck going our way, sure, but scoring 3 goals away against a strong European team with half your team missing ,is no fluke. PSG was hard done by. But we did deserve it too, the qualification, for our heart and effort.

Yeah playing a PL team would be like another PL Game. Better be some European Teams.LoveSlug wrote:I'd rather avoid United and City, hell even Spurs. How crazy it will be if all English teams get drawn to non English teams and we have an all English semi final draw

Two former Interisti (both still close to Inter) in Julio Cesar and Luis Figo performing the draws as a sympathy plea to Inter.
Please draw Juventus to Manchester City.

Seeing Julio Cesar again reminds of me what a superb goalkeeper he was and how overlooked his career has been.
