Real Madrid vs Girona
Time to rest the whole team. They have alot of mileage on their legs. Great week, in the 3 tough away games we had. So well done team
I so want Vini to play because Girona defend so comical when he runs at them but at the same time I don't want him being burnt out already
Benz will likely not be called him, neither do I think Modric will
Probable line up:

Re: Real Madrid vs Girona
La Liga is still in our reach so playing that line up is not a good idea imo. there is zero creativity from front 3 lol. but it appears we have no choice because Vini, benz and Modric are tired.
so we could play like that and if things didn't go our way bring in Vini and Benz in 60th minute.

Re: Real Madrid vs Girona
I don't think we should rotate too much since we have no mid-week game.
Modric is suspended btw so he'll get some rest and i'd rest Benz as well since he picked up a small knock vs Ajax.
Vini has been playing a lot but his minutes have been managed decently (getting subbed off early etc) so i'd start him. Our attack will be too stagnant if we don't have one of Benz and Vini imo.
I'd go for:

No way Bale gets benched. He'll start this game. But for who is the question because I am sure Asensio will start too

Controlling half. Girona aren't being much threat to us despite playing both Stuani and Portu. Start rotating in the 2nd half imo

Asensio offers zero penetration. He needs to get involved. Looks like another Bale out there.

Re: Real Madrid vs Girona
He'll never work on the left. We don't have Ronaldo anymore who wanted us to send in cross after cross. I mean compare this performance to that of Vini against the same team. By the end of those games I am sure their RWB wanted to retire than be humiliated again. Asensio does not do that. He's been good today though just not what's required to be a starter

Re: Real Madrid vs Girona
Courtois is killing us. Sorry, hes not better then navas @nick.
Hudson is tearing into him and rightfully so. For someone who's 6 ft and a half you HAVE to claim that cross.

Strange game. Marcelo has been solid defensively. Ordoiozola looking suspect defensively. SMH hopefully vinicius changes things

Courtois is turning us into Chelsea. No wonder he wants Hazard on board
With Courtois in CL we are not winning shit. Our hope will be the Copa

What's the point of Odriozola if everytime he comes in we have two Marcelos on the field. I can understand why Lope ignored. He is rubbish
Oh and Lucas is essential to this team. As soon as he goes out we lose it

Re: Real Madrid vs Girona
We're a front-running team. We can be really good if things go our way and the game is played generally according to plan... but we have a hard hard time adjusting what we do in game.
Thankfully, we've had our way most of the time lately and had some luck too.
In CL, we need to fight against the tide. Ajax is one thing where they have all kids basically and they don't know how to take advantage of their tactical advantage.... but when we start playing the bigger teams, they'll bury us.
I also don't like that we rely on Vini and Benz for the attack. One is 18 years old and the other is known to disappear at times. Not that we have a choice... but we really needed more options here to account for obvious things. Guys get tired and go through periods of good and not so good form. We have nothing to bring off the bench.

Curtois was actually excellent.
Why do you have an agenda against him.
The defense was utterly disorganized. I think Marcelo makes the side alot weaker. Odrizola wasn't any good either.
The team flopped big time.
Re: Real Madrid vs Girona
This game was a reality check. we have so many weak links it's laughable. and our most talented midfielder who can actually hold the ball for a second to save his life is out for good.
Marcelo and Bale are done. how many games they need? Bale is absolutely shit. and Marcelo well other than letting them cross the ball from his side time after time with ease and getting pwned on one two's ( he was lucky that ball hit the post ) and forgetting about his man to mark, did nothing.
Modric is our best and most important player without him we can't create much.
Liga is done, thankfully. because having false hope is never good.
CL we will get past Ajax ( 75% ) but we will get raped against better teams most likely.
and there is Copa. i will be happy if we beat Barca and win Copa. but if Messi returns to form and Barca plays their usual game even that is out of reach.
Seriously who signed Ordiozola? was it Lope? he is the most brainless RB out there. runs like a headless chicken all the time. puts Lucas to shame lol.

Re: Real Madrid vs Girona
Players aside, Solari's subs killed us.
Asensio was playing good. why sub him? and he brings Diaz for a midfielder. that never works unless your plan is to hoof the ball lol. Bale was another mistake. dude is so shit it's beyond talking.

Bale usually gave us a good week before getting injured. Since he's become consistently shit, he no longer gets injured either

Off the coast of "we are still pretty awful". The only silver lining is that maybe this would finally kill off this remontada nonsense with respect to La Liga.

3 losses coming up in clasicos which eliminates both copa and liga leaving only CL which likely be gone in qrts.
