Soriano and Sansone to Bologna could happen. Huge for them to avoid relegation

Bournemouth are in advanced talks with Liverpool over the permanent signing of Dominic Solanke for £19m plus add-ons, Sky Sports News understands.

Seriously??? I thought (TiA) it was £12m and add-ons. Even that seemed steep.Unique wrote:Bournemouth are in advanced talks with Liverpool over the permanent signing of Dominic Solanke for £19m plus add-ons, Sky Sports News understands.

The Premier League mid-table is dumb.

Those clubs make too much money for the power of attraction they have, so they overspend on unproven young players and rejects. The classic example is Everton.

Didn't Bournemouth pay like 20m+ for someone from Chelsea? They are stupid as hell.

Ake I think?
Paid 18m € for Jordan Ibe
Probably McAgger is their head scout

Ake is decent though so that fee wasn't excessive probably

He's a talented footballer overall but i'm still not particularly a fan of him as a defender and he makes too many stupid errors.
With that said he's still young and could mature into a good player, unlike the others mentioned on this page most likely.

Yeah Ibe, even though of course better than Sterling, just isn't that good.
Solanke seems to do a lot of things right but can't seem to actually score a goal if his life depended on it, which, well, isn't a good thing in a striker

Re: Winter Transfer Rumours 2018/19
Incredible indeed that Bournemouth still pay up after the Ibe disappointment
I don't really know what we were doing with the Solanke signing to begin with. A classic example of how young players are given way too big benefit of a doubt in the hope they're just about to get good. Solanke looked to me like one of those strikers who would get goals in the Championship but not in the Prem.

Bournemouth have completed the signing of Dominic Solanke on a long-term deal from Liverpool.
Sky sources understand Bournemouth have paid £19m plus add-ons for the England international striker, who joined Liverpool on a free transfer from Chelsea in 2017.

Re: Winter Transfer Rumours 2018/19
Liverpool defender Nathaniel Clyne has completed a loan move to Bournemouth for the remainder of the season.
The 27-year-old will spend the second half of 2018-19 with the Premier League side having agreed terms with the Cherries today.
Clyne played five times for the Reds before the New Year, including starts against Chelsea and Manchester United at Anfield.
The latter marked the No.2’s 100th Liverpool appearance since joining the club from Southampton in the summer of 2015.
He follows Dominic Solanke in moving to the Vitality Stadium after the striker sealed a permanent transfer earlier on Friday.
Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth are 12th in the Premier League.

Kinda harsh on Clyne, he was doing perfectly fine at Liverpool before his injury troubles. Arnold has emerged as a great talent, though, so maybe it's better this way.

Don't think Solanke has the goal scoring nose to be a prolific striker.
Anyway, it's clear Klopp didn't think he was good enough, neither does he trust Sturridge to be a functioning alternative to Firmino, so I think it's very likely Liverpool will buy Timo Werner in summer.

Re: Winter Transfer Rumours 2018/19
Werner would have the confidence to carve out a meaningful spot in the team for himself, and Klopp surely would make him feel he's got a chance.
Right now, Firmino is often playing second striker to support Salah, Werner can also play multiple roles.
Leipzig used to play a 4-4-2 under Hasenhüttl with Werner drifting wide often, similar now under Rangnick. Werner has played as some kind of false winger for the NT.
Think this is a transfer that could well happen.

45-50m £ I'd say. It will be his last year of contract but Leipzig will want some money nevertheless, and Pulisic went for even more just now as precedent ..
