The Hazard Replacement
Hazard has once again been talking about his uncertain future. As much as I would love for Hazard to stay, I can't see him staying forever.
With that in mind, I thought we could use a thread to document who the eventual replacement is.
Dream:
Dybala
Neymar
Hudson-Odoi
Ideal:
Bailey
Lozano
Possible:
Martial
O. Dembele
Pulisic
Zaha
Wildcard:
Asensio
Thauvin
Insigne
Guedes
Jota
Richarlison
Only time will tell who we decide on.

Re: The Hazard Replacement
Let him leave on a free when hes 29, I still have hope he signs a new contract.
However I'm cool with him seeing out his contract.

Re: The Hazard Replacement
OK it's a bit shocking. He's contracted till June 2020, so when it might happen, January! next summer?
Out of the options, Nymer is just a cancer. Hudson-Odoi or even Bailey is too young, you will need a starting quality after all. May be Zaha will finally fulfill his potential at Chelsea, eh?
PS: You forgot about Markovic

Re: The Hazard Replacement
You cannot replace him like-for-like, I think Chelsea need to sign two attacking players to possess the same attacking threat that Hazard provides. Ideally, I reckon, a striker better than Morata and a winger.

I disagree. We should absolutely get something for Hazard.Abramovich wrote:Let him leave on a free when hes 29, I still have hope he signs a new contract.

If he doesn't stay, it'll be Jan or over the summer.iftikhar wrote:OK it's a bit shocking. He's contracted till June 2020, so when it might happen, January! next summer?

I quite like Bailey and Zaha, if we could get both, it would be excellent.
That would be another option. Unless we put our faith in Batshuayi.Art Morte wrote:You cannot replace him like-for-like, I think Chelsea need to sign two attacking players to possess the same attacking threat that Hazard provides. Ideally, I reckon, a striker better than Morata and a winger.

Re: The Hazard Replacement
First off, if it happens, absolutely not for january. It would completely ruin our season.
I think Insigne is the closest thing to Hazard in world football. Obviously Hazard is better, but the playstyle are very similar. The ease with which he dribbles, his unpredictability in the plays he makes, his unselfishness and looking to involve teammates just always reminds me of Hazard.
Another player I would consider is Brandt.

Re: The Hazard Replacement
Agree
Insigne best option
from what Sarri wants,at least one of his attackers to be able to receive/play between the lines, create and offer goal threat
Richarlison as a #9 would also be interesting under Sarri

Re: The Hazard Replacement
Insigne would undoubtedly be Sarri's choice. I'm not sure he'd be available though.

Dream:

Hudson-Odoi
The guy has played anything since Community Shield & Sarri clearly doesn't rate him.

Re: The Hazard Replacement
Straight swap for Kariminal Benzema? Concussed goalkeepers won't see him coming. The epitome of a modern striker, who can slot perfectly in at CDM if needed. Nevermind Hazard, if you strike now, you'll have a master of hold-up play, as well as taller version of Essien, in case Kanté gets injured. At the peak of his powers, and a superiority that's backed up by the most prestigious of statistics sheets. Benzema is the french Don Corleone of football. A master of disguise, a cat in the shadows, he never misses an opportunity to hustle an unsuspecting prey. Act quickly, and get a free copy of "Valbuena gone wild" on DVD or Blu Ray.

Re: The Hazard Replacement
lol
Although Benzema would be a starter up-front considering Chelsea's striker options atm.
One has made 0 goals & while the other is a bit better, he's misfiring like there's no tomorrow.

Dream in the sense that he reaches his potential, as opposed to how he currently is

Re: The Hazard Replacement
Seems like Hazard still wants out. Whats worse, CHO looks like he wants out too.
Pulisic is a good addition but we still need a replacement. So we've not made any headway there.
This summer will be huge.
