Spurs have successfully killed whatever momentum we had.
Well played tbh. Deserved winners. Hope they don't get Burton in the semis.

No Kane, Davies at CB and Gazzaniga in goal actually makes this look like Poch put out a weaker lineup than Emery.
We've left out Leno, Bellerin and Mustafi, but we're otherwise full strength. Looks like Spurs basically did the same.
We can't really to lose after that Southampton defeat, even if the cup isn't that important.
Yeah you're right, was about even squad strength wise.
Good win for Spurs though. The cup isn't that important but getting some revenge after a poor performance at the Emirates last time out is, and is for the fans too. Really professional performance. Didn't really concede many good chances (mostly just the one with Mikhi) and clinical on the counterattack.
Very very soft goals to give up from arsenal's perspective. Especially the second. At least the first had a player slip (didn't see who) which didn't help things. But on the second Kane had enough time and space to chest the ball, control, turn and look, and put a ball through for Dele. Who was completely unmarked. Remarkable stuff defensively.

Did have a bottle thrown at his head tbf
While I'm on the subject I realize the right thing to say is "shame on him how dare someone throw a bottle at a game!"
I agree. But for those who saw the toss, can we agree on what a helluva throw it was? To hit a moving target in the head from that range is unbelievable

Is Morata injured or does he not even get on the bench anymore?

Kepa with the clearest penalty of the season there. Spanish refs should take note of VAR usage here.

VAR overturns the linesman's offside and gives penalty for Tottenham

Re: 2018/19 Carabao League Cup
If it was onside then it was an obvious penalty, the linesman raised the flag for offside, the ref did the right thing and left it to VAR.
Proper VAR usage from the ref.

Re: 2018/19 Carabao League Cup
Very close call tbh. Even in the VAR pictures it looked like his head was slightly offside.
But, in doubt for the attacker so the decision is the correct one.
As for Morata, he played in the FA Cup game on the weekend

Commentators said Son stays until the United game. He'll join Korea for the last group stage game.

Re: 2018/19 Carabao League Cup
I think when Chlesea sign a prolific striker, they will be the closest challenger to City next season
they looked good today even though failed to score. It is a different matter who will be that striker next season looking at the market now and plus they need to keep Hazard.

Spurs are 6 points from the title and Poch risks the entire starting team for an EFL cup

Re: 2018/19 Carabao League Cup
It's become pretty clear that even Poch now wants to win a title of some sort, any title, even if it's the EFL cup. I think it's important for the players too, there's been so much talk of this Spurs team and being good but not having a title, I think they're certainly sensitive to it.
Chelsea also put out a near full strength team
I'm ok with it

6 points in January, the season ends in May. I think fans such as yourself should allow him this one, you know, winning a trophy considering he has won nothing. Let him have this one nah.
