deepfake Kendrick ![](/users/3313/22/97/24/smiles/1499845164.gif)
so much toxic contradictory discourse has gone down in the culture since the last time he dropped, you know he is gunna speak about all of that on the new album

God damn this album requires multiple listens to take in like with TPAB.
Album gives me GKMC & TPAB vibes.

definitely a grower...
streets are calling it his Life of Pablo with how varied and colourful the soundscape is. Also cool to see how much Baby Keem has influenced him.

Re: The Offical Rap Thread Part 3
He did it again. Its a legit masterpiece for me. Its better than DAMN and up there with TPAB.
Highlights are United In Grief, N95 (banger), Die Hard, Father Time, We Cry Together, Savior, Auntie Diaries, Mother I Sober.
N95 music video was dope, always appreciate the effort Kendrick puts on his videos. Dave Free is a great director. We Cry Together is Eminem's Kim in 2022, what an uncomfortable song to hear
Mother I Sober was this album's Sing About Me, love how personal Kendrick got here and in Father Time.

and We Cry Together is not even cringe because even if it may be slightly exaggerated for some, that type of arguing is a reality for couples these days

Fuck me, Danger Mouse and Black Thought together for an entire album. Really looking forward to it.
Michael Kiwanuka is also amazing.

Re: The Offical Rap Thread Part 3
Guys, please don't be too hard on me, I have spent my entire life listening religiously to Rock and Metal, and so my knowledge on Rap and Hip Hop is very, very limited.
Anyway, I have recently chanced upon these two songs, and I was wondering if you could recommend me songs that are very similar:
Eminem - Till I Collapse
Eminem - I'm a Soldier.
Basically, I want aggressive flow and a badass cadence.
Any suggestions please?
Also, add "Lose Yourself" to the list.

Re: The Offical Rap Thread Part 3
listen to Eminem's first three albums then because there's clearly a pattern there. You'll definitely also like The Way I Am and Cleanin' Out My Closet.
Nas - Ether
2Pac - Hit em Up
Jay-Z & Eminem - Renegade
Jay-Z & Linkin Park - Numb/Encore
Kendrick Lamar - The Blacker the Berry
Kanye & Kendrick - No More Parties in LA
Kanye - Can't Tell Me Nothing
Kanye - New Slaves
Pusha T & Kanye - What Would Meek Do?

shit i keep forgetting about Infinite... that was his first album, it's also listenable. So then what my above post should say is his next three albums after his first album.

Some recent stuff I've been bumpin' that I think goes hard:
Time Today - Moneybagg Yo
Applying Pressure - J. Cole
Vinyl Days - Logic, DJ Premier
Still Runnin' - Lil Baby, Lil Durk, Meek Mill
Sleep With The Roaches - Young Dolph, Key Glock
Some older stuff:
NY State of Mind - Nas
I Ain't No Joke - Eric B. & Rakim
Straight Outta Compton - N.W.A
7th Chamber - Part II - Wu-Tang Clan
Slam - Onyx

Re: The Offical Rap Thread Part 3
I just found out about this one:
Solid diss, but he must've gotten decimated by Em![Laughing](https://2img.net/i/fa/i/smiles/icon_lol.gif)
I will check his comeback next.

Re: The Offical Rap Thread Part 3
Yes he was ruined by Eminem short after
I think the only guy who successfully dissed Eminem is a dude from New Jersey called Milkbone. A bit underground so maybe he just did not bother to respond

But props to him for publicly dissing Em. That takes courage...and a certain amount of foolishness.

Re: The Offical Rap Thread Part 3
Yeah really awful news. He wasn't even involved in the altercation that led to the shooting.
Lots of people questioning why a millionaire rapper is in a bowling alley in a rough part of Houston, but it's pretty obvious that's how rappers maintain their rep. Gotta be in the streets. It's the same with Nipsey Hussle, Young Dolph and so many others. Can't stay in the mansion behind the gates or you'll be labeled as soft.

Re: The Offical Rap Thread Part 3
Is it really a matter of rep though ? Maybe was just chilling there
If i was millionaire you'd still see me hanging in the same places with the same friends
