Re: Summer Transfer Rumours 2018/19
Paying 80 mil for Kepa is pretty hilarious. But since I am Agenda Nick I'm gonna root for him so he can unseat that fraud De Meah
Can't wait for that debate to start in Spain

Its honestly incredible that Madrid had everything to sign Kepa for 20m and Zidane pulled that stunt.

Kepa is like 2 years younger than Alisson, not exactly a kid.
Can't believe this numpty is the most expensive GK signing of all time
Has less clean sheets and saves in 2 seasons than De Gea has like in half a season ffs

It was a nice guy thing though. Why buy a player that Keylor will bench?
He is much better going to Chelsea!
Keylor will bench courtois but my friends rate him highly so I might be wrong

Re: Summer Transfer Rumours 2018/19
I am still in shock, that we went from Bakayoko and Drinkwater to Jorginho and Kovacic. Still not sure if there is a buy option for Kovacic or not, some suggest there is and others are saying it is just a one year loan.
I think Bakayoko could be a good signing for Milan. He was tremendous for Monaco, has talents. Maybe he will be another KDB, Salah, Lukaku, and you can categorize Cuadrado here too.
Kepa at the end of the day is very suited to the way Sarri wants to play, looking at his distribution stats a case could be made he is best Gk with the ball at his feet. He is going to be very useful as we change our tactics.

Define tremendous for Monaco? He is the same profile we go for time and time and time again, we never learn, i don't mind a hustler as long as he can play with the ball at his feet, another donkey to succeed the legacy of Muntari. Can't wait for FFP to die.

140 mil on Kepa and Laporte, pretty outstanding
You can congratulate them, but then obviously money is far less useful to Bilbao then to other clubs.
They can't just sign any replacement, after all.
I feel like to Bilbao, it always hurts losing a top player.

obviously and they are very healthy financially. This help them to be solvent as a club, repaying debts, they renovated their stadium not so long ago.Hapless_Hans wrote:Mr Nick09 wrote:Congrats to Bilbao, they made about 60 millions thanks to Zidane blocking that transfer in December.

Ultimately they can raid La Real Sociedad and take their Basque stars. It's speculated they like Oyarzabal, and he has 50 mil clause (+10 if it's Bilbao )

Bakayoko is not bad with the ball at his feet, he has a decent first touch and passer.
Tough situation for him, not really ideal player to play alongside Kante and team was in a slump.
He is a superior player to Kessie. He would benefit playing in a 3 man midfield, and playing in a league with more space to play. So i do think there is a recipe for Bakayoko to succeed.
A year ago he was wanted by United and PSG before signing for Chelsea. So a player who is very talented.

There is no buy back in the Kovacic deal, please groom him well. He should be a starter he is better than that fraud Fabregas anyway. Actually he is now the second best midfielder after Kante

Let me say this, Kessie is better than Bakayoko, but its like comparing the lesser of 2 evils

If there is no buy option, i could see this going very poorly for Kovacic. Either he will be hit or spend most of the loan on the bench, i don't see a in between.
He needs to show not only he is better than the other options, but too good not to be selected. We are not looking to groom a player on a one year loan.
Is Kovacic that good of a player that would immediately impact a team, or is he a inconsistent player that need to regain his form? if it is the later than this is not going to go to well for him.

@blue, you have no player at Chelsea with his combination of speed and technique. There is a reason we did not want to sell, he is a great talent. He did not play in Madrid because of kroos, Modric and Casemiro, 3 monsters.

That was his buy back clause and there was no time for negotiation, it’s not like he is actually valued at 80m, clauses are always overestimated to scare away potential buyers.

Re: Summer Transfer Rumours 2018/19
lol since is this an excuse? If you accept to pay a buy back clause then you accept the valuation. And let's not forget foreign clubs can't activate a buy out clause, Chelsea actually just matched the value of his clause and made a normal transfer. Unless he had to pay it himself I did not check.Myesyats wrote:Kaladin wrote:Paying 80m for Kepa

Absolute nonsense.
I don't know who leaks this stuff to English journos, probably Woodward himself, but Boateng has told Utd he's not interested and he'll either join PSG or, hopefully, will simply stay.
