Bayern does not need to have points gifted to them, yet it always happens. Cant wait until the Pig farmers leave and join that new euro super league.

Not surprised. Now I remember that 1860 ultras are sadly popular to be bonehead.
even when I went on a school field trip in Munchen (it was senior trip), anyone said us to avoid that bar next because it was frequented from 1860 nazis.
On the contrary Bayern ... Schickeria

I don't know about Bundes, but VAR worked last year in Serie A , but since they decided to limite the use it is going to be a real disaster.
Basically it can be used rarely, and I don't get the advantage.
Ref denied us a clear penalty on Sunday for it.
Who preferred mistakes to losing some seconds so as to verify it won , I 've lost.
Think of me as a disappointed about the VAR, convinced that the football could change but there is no place for justice here.

Re: The Bundesliga Thread (18/19)
The TV game here was Wolfsburg vs Schalke and if you like VAR, it was a good game and by good I mean bad. Firstly, the ref was way too card happy, he was one of these new refs who want to be the star of the game, so he was giving out cards for everything, I get taking control of the game, but I just had a bad feeling about this guy.
Anyhow, Natasic gets a yellow for a late challenge, not the worst challenge I have seen, but a yellow card seemed more than sufficient punishment. Except it was not, they go to VAR and make it a red, way too severe in my eyes.
Soon after Burgstaller blatantly and with quite a bit of force shoves that big Dutch guy, Weghorst ,from behind, like shoves with enough force to knock hm over and it was not a dive from the big Dutchie. So Weghorst gets up and kind of rugby scrum like, knocks over Guido, red card for the guy who retaliates and yellow for the guy who started it. It kind of feels like a make up call for the red card on Natasic and I get it.
Except I dont, VAR comes in and changes the red to yellow, I was thinking after VAR that they might change Burgstaller's yellow to red, he was the guy who started it all, but no, two yellow cards and back to the game.
For the most part i agree with VAR and checking goals validity, but yesterday was just too much VAR, like I said if you like VAR, it was good, it was there and doing all the things it is supposed to do, if you dont like every frickin call going to a frickin video booth, then it was too much, games will take over two hours, this will upset the tv scheduling! Think of the TV networks!!!
As for the game itself, between VAR checking every call, Schalke looked quite poor, they have lost too many players and I dont think the replacements are going to help. VW will probably not be the relegation zone team they were last season. First game, so time will tell, maybe Schalke puts it together with time? I thought Bayer would be better this season, but based upon yesterday's result, I dunno. Kinda disappointing results all around yesterday.

Re: The Bundesliga Thread (18/19)
Hannover - Dortmund 0:0 (0:0)
Literally fell asleep watching this game, OK, I started drinking before noon and I was sitting in the sun for most of the day, but it was a terrible, boring game.
I think I learned a couple of things from this game, BVB will not be troubling Bayern for the title (to be fair this is a team that has had so many new managers over the last couple of years,so thy should improve)and perhaps the German national teams left back issue will be solved by the young kid for Hannover who was playing right back.
Nürnberg - Mainz -:- (-:-)
Augsburg - Gladbach -:- (-:-)
Hoffenheim - Freiburg -:- (-:-)
Leverkusen - Wolfsburg -:- (-:-)
This is the tv game here on the Iceberg, I dont know, but I can see the Pretenders screwing this up somehow.
Frankfurt - Bremen -:- (-:-)
Von Trapp is back and starting for Eintracht, hope he is rusty.
Stuttgart - FC Bayern -:- (-:-)
This is on national TV here on the iceberg, dare to dream Vfb pulls it off, I think they did last season?
Leipzig - Düsseldorf -:- (-:-)
Schalke - Hertha -:- (-:-)

Good day for away teams so far HT scores
Nürnberg - Mainz -:- (-:-) 0-1
Augsburg - Gladbach -:- (-:-) 1-0
Hoffenheim - Freiburg -:- (-:-) 0-1
This is a bit of a surprise, thought the Hoff would do well this season
Leverkusen - Wolfsburg -:- (-:-) 1-1
I missed the kickoff, but I am pretty sure the grey haired old guy in goal for the Pretenders was picked from the crowd at the start of the game. The Pretenders are going to lose this, VW looked good at the end of the half and were kind of gifted a goal by the old grey haired fan who is now keeping goal.
Frankfurt - Bremen -:- (-:-) 0-1
Be a nice win after last week
Stuttgart - FC Bayern -:- (-:-)
I did look it up, Stuttgart did beat Bayern last may 4-1, in Munich. Now of course bayern had already clinched the title and were probably playing in a UCL cup game. but it iis a reason to have some hope for a bayern loss. Well, that and Super Mario.

Re: The Bundesliga Thread (18/19)
A sort of easy trivia question.
Name the two player who have scored the most goals in a VFB vs Bayern game, for both Vfb and Bayern. The trick is they did it at both vfB and bayern, both if them

The Pretenders are so predictable. The big new Dutch guy scored the second for VW and then the Steffen gets the third. 1-3 and Wendell went out with injury as well, game over.

Re: The Bundesliga Thread (18/19)
A bit of normalcy returned to some games in the second half
Nürnberg - Mainz (Sa.) 1:1 (0:1)
Augsburg - M'gladbach 1:1 (1:0)
Hoffenheim - Freiburg 3:1 (0:1)
Leverkusen - Wolfsburg 1:3 (1:1)
It would be easy to blame the Austrian keeper for the loss, so I will. But really, it is just the way bayer roll. In related news, Bayer's 63rd greatest player of all time Heng min Son has avoided military service,it took extra time, but he will not be shooting North Koreans this year.
Frankfurt - Bremen 1:2 (0:1)
I want to say this is a better start to the season for Werder than last season. Werder keeper went off injured in the second half, giving up a penalty in the process, last minute heroics for Bremen. This result gives me hope not only for the season, but that Stuttgart can win the upcoming game, dont ask me why, but it just does.

If the bundesliga season was to end right now at this second,Bayer would be relegated.
Bayern going with old guys in the back and on the wings. I have some hope for VfB because both Hummels and Boateng retired from playing football after the 2014 WorldCup
