Did they do him justice? or was he not important at all?
can't wait
This one is less about Thanos and more about the heroes.
Watch Infinity War before going so it feels like you aren’t missing a Thanos storyline because there’s really not much of him compared to the first.
I suppose that is good enough too.
Wonder why they didn't have a post credit scene.
Are there good twists and turns you don't see coming?

RG why are you asking if there was something you didn't see coming lol? Subconsciously if you've been told there's something you didn't see coming you will expect it way more lol.

Can't wait for Friday ffs
Judging by your "can't wait for gotg3" i wonder if Gamorah is revived. Or if Thor has joined the team
I was 100% sure she would be after infinity war since she is too big to be perma killed.
Same with Loki.

Re: The Official Comicbook Movies Thread: Part 3
Watched it tonight. There is so much happening, you need it all to sink in.
Yes, there are definitely twists you dont see coming for things given before the movie. As well as things you might see during the moving and get faked out.
You immediately understand why the Russo bros insisted on not calling this IW part 2. It is totally different tonally, in terms of POV, storytelling, everything. Thanos is done justice, but just how IW was his movie and it was done amazingly for him, this one is for the avengers.
The lack of post or mid credit scene is perfect. This is the end of the infinity saga, its fitting that its the only MCU movie not to feature a "whats next?", this is the end.

@Freeza
Tbh Spiderman Far From Home and any Phase 4 movie not called GOTG3 seems irrelevant.
- Spoiler:
- There was a guy in my theater crying and sobbing from abut the halfway point. Tony's death killed him ffs. That was great, when he says "Im Iron Man" and finishes the job the MCU was completed. Perfect moment.
I really missed Thor though. Fat Thor was funny but he was my favorite character from Ragnarok and IW. Badass god of thunder Thor was too good.
At the end, in the funeral. Who was that Japanese kid next to hawkeye, and who was that skinny kid standing alone??

Captain Marvel might be the least interesting character in the universe overall.

Much more interested in Caotain Marvel than most other of the newer avengers. All this stuff about Krees, Skrulls, different planets, aliens, etc is 10 times more interesting to me than more similar earth based superheroes.

You will love the secret invasion event then if they ever translate it to MCU
However what you have mentioned applies more to GOTG than Captain Marvel. She actually has no interesting storylines of her own.

Re: The Official Comicbook Movies Thread: Part 3
Yes, GOTG and Thor Ragnarok it's similar style are my favorite franchises so Im pumped for GOTG3.
I have pretty much 0 comic book knowledge outside of the common pop culture and mcu related stuff so my only exposition to captain marvel is the movie which I liked a lot and it seems like her future is cosmic stuff which Im more pumped for.
After the infinity saga Im more interested in more "different" stories and characters, than second string avengers on earth. Dr Strange 2 might be great as well if they keep leaning more on the magic and weird stuff.

- So much feels this movie...don't know where to start, its like we all were together with them on this 10 year journey.
I don't think i can describe the sentimentality

Re: The Official Comicbook Movies Thread: Part 3
- Spoiler:
I'm going again tomorrow. Need to see that again + my theater had some issues for the first hour of the movie with the sound.
The three OGs (RIP Hulk) standing up to Thanos was perfect. Then Captain's fight with the shield and Mjolnir is just extremely badass. Scarlett Witch beasted too.
"Avenger's Assemble". "I'm Iron Man". "everyone fails at who they are supposed to be but succeeds at who they are" Frigg dropping some wisdom. The Ancient One with the "you are 5 years too early". Nebula/Thanos competing with Theon/Ramsay on how to show a totally psychopathic and fearful relationship, Nebula having to kill her past self was heavier than I expected from a marvel movie.
Tony dead, Cap old and fulfilled, Natasha dead, Hulk reformed and crippled, Thor finally being free, PTSD Clint with a second chance. The OGs were amazing.
It's just too much, this is really unlike any movie I've ever seen.

I am overwhelmed by emotions. This exceeded the hype and made go through a lot of emotions. I need a lot of time to process this.
This is VERY rewarding for those that watched all the MCU films and been in the journey from day one. I don't think we will ever see anything like it in cinema ever.

If i say "one of the most cringe worthy scene of all time"
i am sure you all will instantly know what i am talking about in endgame right?
Nearly left the cinema tbh. Ridiculous timing and absolutely unnecessary and pointless

Re: The Official Comicbook Movies Thread: Part 3
- Spoiler:
- I didn't understand why Nebula didn't warn Natasha and Clint about what they needed to do to get the soul stone?
I'm annoyed they killed off Natasha. Didn't do her death justice.
Other than that, good movie. Very enjoyable.

- I don't think she knew. She only knows Thanos killed Gamora on Vormir, not that he NEEDED to do it to get the stone.

- There was no Japanese kid unless I missed him. Hawkeye was with his family so I'm assume you're talking about his son. The skinny kid standing alone is the boy who helps Tony in Iron Man 3.

- yeah that was fine. Its not for us, I've seen a lot of positive reactions from girls and it wasnt out of place. We have big team up shots all the time in superhero movies.

Re: The Official Comicbook Movies Thread: Part 3
- Spoiler:
- Speaking of markout moments, how did all your theatre react when Cap used Mjolnir.
My theater legit went crazy. People were whooping, screaming, clapping. I lost control of myself too. Never saw anything like that in film. Same happened when all the snapped characters came back with the armies.
I need to do a rewatch though. Missed a lot of stuff. Just found out that in the final battle the Ravagers also show up with Howard The Duck ffs.
