Still need a striker.
Hart sucks and should be replaced by Fabianski. Zabaleta is old. Masuaku is very error prone and has poor concentration.
Not a bad team, otherwise. They should be challenging for the 7th place with it (so they can be knocked out by a Romanian car marking company in Europe again).

They will suck like they always do imo.
Every year people are deceived by big money signings and most of the time they don't do anything.

West Ham have been signing a lot of players for a few years now, only for 90% of them to flop. If Carroll stayed fit they could fight for a Europa spot, otherwise don't see it.

their best signing was a 100 year lease on a 66k capacity London stadium, it's only a matter of time before the spam level up.

They've also signed a proven coach on high levels, I'd keep an eye on them

They are building something really interesting. I do suspect a striker is next and maybe some defensive signings (low key).

Surely they will improve on last season. I’m assuming that’s what west ham fans want. It’s going to take awhile but it looks like they are starting to build something. They aren’t going to crack the top 6 over night.

They were supposedly building something interesting when they signed Zabaleta, Arnautovic and Hernadez last summer, before that they were building something interesting when they signed Feghouli, Ayew and Töre, before that it was Payet, Ogbonna and Song - plus about a million less notable other signings. Payet obviously was a hit, but even he stayed for only 1.5 seasons. They've been trying to get this project going for so long now that I only consider it interesting if they actually succeed, not a minute earlier.

Anderson and Yarmolenko could be something going forward. I rate main man Felipe.
Lanzini can't be counted on coming off an ACL injury, he's going to be out for some time still [or am I wrong?]

Loserpool, what a window
Still have the Coutinho money for winter too
NO EXCUSES
as for West Ham..I've thought the same previous seasons, they'll probably do no better than usual

I'm still of the belief that any Liverpool fan that talks about they can't financially compete with the "bigger clubs" should be hit with a pie in the face.

Why is Lanzini still there? Guy should have moved on from West Ham years ago

Still remember that numpty Klopp criticizing the Pogba signing
then he goes and drops 80m on a B+ CB and breaks the transfer fee for a GK
can't take that melt seriously tbh, nor Pool fans

Re: West Ham subtly assembling a not so bad team?
Transfer fees are a different story than wages. Lots of clubs spend quite happily large sums in transfer fees, because the player is an asset that will retain value as long as he's under contract. Like when Dortmund bought Yarmolenko and according to transfermarkt paid €25m for him. They want to get rid of him a year later and West Ham buy him for €20m. So, Dortmund really paid only €5m for that asset. But when some melt decides to pay a washed up Alexis Sanchez £400k in weekly wages, that is nothing but an expense that will never be recouped.

Disagree tbh
But then again the only times I've watched him are against Spurs and if you look at his record vs Spurs, the guy has a blinder every time
Where is BC when you need him
