*bleep* off, he was *bleep* climbing all over him. Colombia didn't deserve shit. They did absolutely nothing until the last 10 minutes when we brought Dier on and conceded possession to them.
We were completely control of the game for like 80 minutes.
And what did England do with all that control? A penalty merchant team if I ever saw one. At least Colombia scored due to their own merits.
And Kane fouled him first

Colombia were terrible lmao. Spent 80 minutes crying and fouling and begging for referee's attention to give something in their favour. Shockingly bad players who had no business being at the World Cup. Should have smashed them if Southgate wasn't too loyal to some of the scrubs in the team.
Thoroughly deserved win.

I have been very optimistic before the tournament started lol, doesn't mean i believe we are going to win the whole thing though.
UNLESS IT DOES, FOOTBALL IS COMING HOME.

England 2 shots on target all game. Sweden 3 shots on target. Many 1v1s skied well over the bar. Still the English pundits will claim that we are poorer team to watch than theirs

50-50 for me IMO
you've beaten better opposition but I don't rate you, we will need to play a lot better than we did today

Actually not surprised GL somehow making it sound like Colombia even deserved anything from this match. They gave one of the worst performances i have seen so far at the WC. But then it's even less surprising it's Germans, Argentine, Spanish teams fans putting down England

Henderson, Alli, Lingard and Young.
0 attacking threat from them. Pressure got to them and it was clear.

He shouldn't have brought Dier to start with, Colombia didn't do anything until he brought him on.
We can't defend on the backfoot at all, i hope he learned a lesson and in future brings Loftus Cheek on in future.

That wasn't my point. Some English pundit called us boring. Tipped for us to go out against the Swiss and England to beat Colombia. Yet England come out of games with worse attacking stats than us. Whoever wins our game will win WC imo. No way both don't take it all the way after making history like that

Re: WC 2018 | Round of 16 | England Vs Colombia
They did deserve something. They got screwed by a ref that was too proud or corrupt to look at VAR. What's the point of VAR if it's not going to be used in controversial decisions. Kane fouled him first, therefore it's 100% not a penalty. Other than that England generated nothing all game, just 1 shot from open play in 120 minutes, and they somehow "deserved" to go through?
This English arrogance must be stopped

It goes both way.
Referee gave that colombian scrub a yellow for headbutting (chest and chin) Henderson in the box but not a penalty. Didn't go to VAR either. seems legit. Headbutting is a straight red card offence.

What in the actual *bleep* he was riding Kane on his back like he was a *bleep* horse.
Drop it BC, you're being ridiculous. We didn't create a lot of opportunities because of poor final balls but we were undoubtedly the better team before the Dier sub.

Re: WC 2018 | Round of 16 | England Vs Colombia
As I am actively cheering England, feel I should try to be objective.
To me, this game represent two unnecessary actions. One was Colombia's need to be absolute melts for 70-80+ minutes on the field. There was no real need to be so angry or thuggish since the moment they honestly started playing properly, they saw more final 3rd action.
The second unnecessary action was England sitting back on the 1-0. Mole is correct, they had control of the game and because they sat back, it allowed Colombia way more of the ball than it should.
This was a bad match, no mistake about it and I would not say England deserve it. But they fking earned this win and played through it with a desire I actually enjoyed. And the PKs were clearly stuff that they trained for (except Henderson but he is a melt).
Congrats to the English lads, try not to lose to Hala and his cousins.

Seriously watch it again. Kane pushes his head down right in front of the referee. It was a foul. Every neutral would agree. What happens after the first foul is of no importance.

wasnt gonna be a pen because the ball wasnt in play apparently, but yeah it makes 0 logical sense not to be given a red if he saw fit to give a yellow
that would have changed the game completely
