Re: Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice
changed my mind too, this is nothing like the previous games
I think it's good but my thoughts so far are that I don't see it surpassing Dark Souls/BB at all for me
Nioh is way more like Dark Souls than this game is

Re: Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice
I discovered the purple ninja guy and he killed me before i even had a proper look at him.
I can't beat the 2nd phase of lady butterfly.
chained ogre was really easy once i got the fire arm

Re: Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice
mate I just beat Butterfly..I was thinking it's an epic fight, but I realised I've been giving these enemies too much respect and not being aggressive enough, falling into my Dark Souls tactics
anyway friend gave his strat for Lady Butterfly (in Hirata Estate) and it's actually ridiculous how trivial the fight is
I beat her phase 1 in 15 seconds with it Phase 2 is exactly the same just after you wait for the summons to disappear or dispel them
don't want to give it to you as that's half the fun, unless you want to know

Re: Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice
Nah i beat her first try today. Must be tired last night.
I just dodge and then attacked her throughout and it worked. She is easy to stun lock once you get the timing right.
Hirata estate was a pos though.
What was your strategy?

Re: Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice
stop blocking and just dodge to her side and attack infinitely, same as yours by the sounds of it
also sounds like you did all of hirata estate before the main story, i was progressing them equally, think that serpent is an illusion, just a guess because you get some of those illusion seeds just after that part, maybe not though
failed that stealth section a few times smh

Re: Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice
Yea i finished the hirata estate before the main mission. Felt like I had to. Ogre was frustrating me too much.
Must say i am not a big fan of the soundtrack so far.

I saw someone go against that on stream lmao, he didn't seem that hard once you realised what he's weak against but watching a big Bull charge around was funny.

Re: Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice
havent played a game in months and I'm already monstering through, because I'm GOAT
already far further ahead than RG, oddly I am only just now starting to really enjoy it, once the enviroments varied aesthetically (area im at atm is one of the best they've done, really beautiful and packed full of secrets)
Blazing Bull's actually one of the hardest bosses RG lmao, ridiculous, that's what ppl have told me and it's just a very frustrating boss, took me so many attempts..until I landed on a strat, which is basically every boss in this
utilise the firecrackers when u need to get in some hits when it's going wild, I only ever attacked when it charged me with the headbutt, then I parried it, beat it in like 30 seconds doing that
game is Bloodborne tier creepy in places

Re: Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice
Watched a mate fight "Isshin, The Sword Saint" Looked like a pretty crazy fight. Toughest boss in the game, apparently.

You know how I play lol
I am addicted to it but i am not getting enough time to smash it. Hopefully the weekend.
I haven't bought the firecracker prosthetic yet but i will soon. It feels like i am still in the early phase of the game.

Re: Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice
Yeah, I'm pretty far into the game now I reckon, over halfway. I'm really enjoying it.
I cheesed the spear guy, I fell off the stairs behind him and noticed he kept attacking me while he was on them and his attacks went over my head but he didn't fall off the stairs, so I just kept jump attacking him
I've killed every mini-boss i've fought except the headless guy and another that inflicts terror
the mini-bosses have been the best part so far, I've only really liked one boss fight, maybe two (Hirata Estate old woman but it was too easy)
Really liking the story too, still obscure enough to please DS/BB fans but way more heavy handed so you don't have to work too hard to understand what's going on

Re: Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice
Yea I am loving the game. Got that feeling back where you get excited about which area to explore first.
I can do the mikiri counter attack on that spear guy but he is a tank ffs. I like how they always give you the option to sneak on him to get his first life out of the way.

who, oh...yeah, just cheese him like I did IMO, I saw a lot of ppl saying he's OP
you only get a prayer bead from him anyway IIRC..and a sense of satisfaction, I guess

Yea it's a matter of pride.
went the other way for now. Another mini boss that was so easy in comparison.
