60m yearly wages, 100m transfer fee, over 4 years that's 85m € that Ronaldo is COSTING Juventus per year.
But of course, trickle down economics prove that the whole affair will be a blessing to Juventus and the whole region economically, once Ronaldo's wealth permeates the fabric of society.

Cannot for the life of me understand how a guy like this gets 6+ pages on GL while someone like Ben Gibson changes clubs without a mention.

Re: Sergej Milinkovic-Savic Transfer Speculation
Nah, I think Hans is right. Obviously, Juventus didn't consider the financial implications of Ronaldo prior to signing him, so now were *bleep*. Fire sale from every season after this one. I can already see Ronaldo playing in front of Bertolacci and Badelj in 2020. Unfortunately, Juventus doesn't have the bright minds of GL overseeing their finances and the costs associated with making your record signing and shattering your wage structure several times over just couldn't have been considered before making the signing. We definitely didn't spend time analyzing the whole financial picture before even attempting to approach Real Madrid and Agnelli, as a family, is known for making poor financial decisions time and time again.
Enjoy this season my fellow juventini because like hans said, were screwed afterwards. The costs of one player will be inescapable and there's absolutely no way we could have seen this coming

And where did I say that Ronaldo bankrupts you?
I just laughed at the notion that you guys are signing on to, which is that somehow Ronaldo gives you money instead of you giving money to him
But hey, calciomercato quoting Il Sole 24 Ore is as sound economic news as it gets.. Juve will somehow, I assume by use of magic rituals involving Ronaldo's semen, get an extra 75m-100m yearly out of this

Re: Sergej Milinkovic-Savic Transfer Speculation
The way we made real money when we signed CR was in negotiating new sponsorship deals with adidas, fly Emirates , tv rights, etc... Marquee player means greater exposure and that had a cost. But you have to bring those big sponsors in the middle of their current deal to force a pay up, that's the difficult part. I am sure adidas is happy not paying u more now but knowing the extra exposure = more shirt sales. But they are also shroud in knowing that CR is getting old so they won't necessarily pay prime rate
I can't wait for for Ronaldo to ask for pay up next summer
In 6 months, CR: I'm sad, and the club knows why

Re: Sergej Milinkovic-Savic Transfer Speculation
KPMG says it is “unlikely that they will see a major positive impact from the CR7 acquisition in the 2018/19 financial year”. But the firm believes that as well as matchday and broadcast revenues, the major growth opportunity for Juventus will come in commercial space, especially in merchandising and sponsoring.
“Within three football seasons, we do believe it is realistic for Juventus FC to add an additional €75m [£66.8m] to €100m [£89.1m], complementing the €120m [£106.9m] reported in their latest accounts as at 30 June 2017,” the KPMG report says.
“There is no doubt that the signing of CR7 provides the club with a new, greater bargaining position with their main sponsors.
“In addition to that, the global appetite for Ronaldo provides the Bianconeri with the opportunity to sign new lucrative licensing agreements, combined with the identification of new global sponsors.”
The report also says that commercial revenues might be found in countries where Juve have not yet established a strong brand presence, but where Cristiano Ronaldo has “major visibility.”
When the Ronaldo transfer rumours started on 2 July and in the days after his official unveiling, Juventus’s stock price increased by approximately 32%.

Let's keep an eye of that. Seeing that the yearly revenue for Juventus from merchandise and licensing is less than 20m €, it'll be interesting to see that 500% increase unfolding

Speculative economics.
Do Real madrid lose as much as 100m worth of revenue over 3 years now that Ronaldo is gone?

Re: Sergej Milinkovic-Savic Transfer Speculation
It's all speculative at this point. What we know for sure:
-Juventus' value increased substantially after signing Ronaldo.
-Juventus increased their ticket prices by 30-34% (can't remember the exact number), and sold out their season tickets.
-Juventus sold an absurd amount of shirts, the reports of Juventus' merchandising deal can make this lucrative but right now it's a bit speculative and we won't know how much is actually generated until this season's revenues are reported .
Intangibles:
-Ronaldo is one of the most recognizable people on earth. By connection, Juventus is more popular. In real terms there are literally hundreds of thousands of more people following Juventus on social media. This is not a small feat even for a global club like Juventus, how this ties into revenue: better sponsorship, better tv deals, more commercial appeal: exact value can only be projected which is why I would call it intangible.
-Success. Our main revenues will be sourced from going deep into the Champions League and completing our objectives. Ronaldo only helps that because he's a champion. This is intangible because most obviously, there are no guarantees to win any trophies and Ronaldo will play a large role for sure but the success won't be down to one player so, again, we can only consider the value Ronaldo adds here and we can only assess it after each season/triumph.
All I'm asking for is calm. This is not a signing that would've been made without careful consideration of all things financially.

Ok.
So the only tangibles so far are that Ronaldo is costing 85m € per season, shareholders are richer on paper but fans have had to pay 30% more for their season tickets

To be honest, Ronaldo could have came for free and paid Juventus to play here and you still would be the same bitter person about such a move

So have Ronaldo's CL wins now been transfered onto Juventus too?
Because I don't remember too many beatings by Juventus to be quite honest

Funny enough I don’t remember you discussing Ronaldo’s costs at Real though. I must have forgot his modest wages and frugal fee from Manchester United.
Making up arguments to fit your agenda as a miserable, Ronaldo hating human, I see. But it’s ok, we appreciate your concern for our finances

We never paid CR as much as Juventus is currently paying. We got him in his prime for fair wages for a long time when he asked to make 50 mil bet like Messi we said goodbye

I guess we must have signed Gnabry on loan instead to avoid getting people talking up Juve's finances and in giving their in-depth knowledge on this subject

I just love how you keep bragging about Madrid's finances like you're some shareholder of the club lol . Sit down fella
Perez was offering 25+5 while Juve offered 30, not much of a diffetence. If you think this is solely a money issue, then you're delusional. Ronaldo's relationship with Perez and the fact that he dint support him like how Barca supported Messi with the tax issue has something to do with his departure as well.

Well, I am not happy about it as an Interista, but Juventus will amortize both the purchase price and the salary in 18 months if they don't win the CL and if shirt sales go to zero. In all probability they will make money this year.

No, it's solely money-based. If he had offered him 30m, he would've stayed.

money is the number 1 reason and the main reason of his discontent with Madrid. He wanted us to pay his tax bill lmao. When he had his problems we issued public statements to support him, but that was it, that was his problem with Mendes and their accountants lol.S wrote:Mr Nick09 wrote:We never paid CR as much as Juventus is currently paying.
