Watching Milan game highlights and based on this season, Donnarumma might just be the 2nd worst keeper in the league behind Olsen

Guy has minimum 1 or 2 howlers in him per game

If we lose the derby, that's it for EDF. I think we'll beat Frosinone, but that won't enough to save him if we don't get the right result in that one that matters.

It's not EDF's fault at all. It's the selling of key players every year. It's a cumulative thing. Last year Salah now this year Roma sold its midfield and their goalkeeper who kept them in games last year. It's not enough to claim that "we buy players of equal or better quality too" as Monchi says. (Which I do not believe). You are changing personnel that the manager has coached to do specific things over a year or more and now he has to train new players, which even if of equal quality, can't learn everything needed to learn in a few months.

You force them to stay, they are unhappy and eventually leave for a low fee on their last year or free at the end of contract. It's almost always better to sell.

I do sympthatise with Roma, though. Liverpool was briefly in even darker times. Before Fenway bought us when the club was on the brink of administration, we were signing guys like Aquillani, Poulsen and Jovanovic. Without Fenway, Liverpool might have become England's Roma: always just desperately trying to cling on to the top.

From what I understand, Salah is the only one that "wanted" to leave. And, he could have been kept (unhappy) for another year, during which a suitable substitute could have been found.

2018/19 Calcio Saga - Page 33 Empty Re: 2018/19 Calcio Saga

There's a difference between a selling club and a club that simply doesn't want to keep players against their will.

If any of those players hadn't wanted to leave, Roma wouldn't have sold them. Prime example of that is De Rossi and Totti. Madrid went through hell and back to get those two at some point, but when both didn't want to leave, Roma immediately ended the negotiations.

They are not a selling club, they just happen to be unfortunate enough not to rank at the very top of the food chain. Because they don't have a very strong financial muscle, other clubs will always find it easier to tempt players from the Romas of this world to sign for them than say a player from Man City or PSG.

It has its downsides but at least they don't keep players against their will like PSG for example.

It's harsh when VAR is rewards Inter, but fair and reasonable when it harms Inter. Makes sense. It was a VAR decision FFS!

Ehh, I'm not sure I agree with that. Lamela didn't want to leave and we sold him anyway, Marquinhos didn't want to leave and we sold him anyway. Nainggolan and Strootman were both prepared to see out their contracts here and we moved them on anyway. The opposing view we have to this is from the club itself (citing they wanted to leave) and I find that too convenient to justify unpopular sales. DDR and Totti are Roman so they are a completely different case. As they are native players with an undeniable attachment to the club, they are the exception, not the rule.

The reasoning often cited is that the offers coming in for these players were simply too hard to pass up or that they wanted to leave. That's true in the cases of Pjanic, Benatia, Salah ,etc. Of all of our sales, only the Alisson one passes muster as far as I'm concerned. We've never sold a player for that much money before so that one was always going to happen. There's also the matter of FFP as well that forced our hand on several occasions as well.

All in all, I think we're more of a selling club. Pallotta said when he first became president that he'd run this club like a business and that anyone could be sold. I continue believe that on the evidence. Only DDR is untouchable in that regard right now. Not even Florenzi is.

Lamela looked so promising in his second season at Roma i thought he would become a star in the league. Went at Spurs and vanished from my mind.

It was the Zeman effect
There is a whole history of attacking players who gave their best under Bohemian, since Ciccio Baiano etc

Impossible not to give this, especially if you can Watch It on VAR

Basically after that Inter Parma (pen not given to us for same reason), referee couldn't turn a blind eye on It.

Lucky and undeserved

Asamoah was also lucky to survive a potential sending off

It's not a penalty, defender runs, no unnatural arm movement, no arm movement towards the ball, close range, the attacker crosses in midst his run and shoots at his arm. Don't see how the defender could even get his arm out of the way.
If it wasn't Inter you would see this clearly.

I would care but on the receiving end was Fiorentina. Anyways good game for a neutral. It really looked like Fiore was gonna win it towards the end. They've become nice to watch.

No unnatural run movement?
One of first rules for a defender is not to enlarge arm in area. Otherwise you can't complain if ref doesn't give you penalties.
Arm is too large.
We 've had the unlucky to have Santon for years, so It 's happened against us too. And I've never complained for It.
Just looking at Inter Udinese 1-3 on YouTube (or here, you'll find out my insults against Santon. He was idiota, such as Hugo was yesterday).

For me Fiorentina could just complain about Asamoah because he should have got a red card (match was 2-1 for us)
