Re: Real Madrid Next manager
Surprised noone has named still Pardew
Not surprised if they sign Conte . The man was a CL flop but he won on 2 different leagues though. Sarri is a CL flop and he won nothing .
Moreover Conte is a Zidane's friend. so not surprised if he has advised his name to Perez .......

this type of info is never confirmed but it was well reported by media's when he signedFirenze wrote:Mr Nick09 wrote:Pocchetino has a way out of his contract, if Madrid calls he is gone
confirmed or just a speculation on your part? IDK. I feel like even if he kicks up a stink and has his LET ME LEAVE moment, Levy would say no lol.

Re: Real Madrid Next manager
Can't think of a single big name manager whom I'd consider to fit the Real Madrid job (and be available).
Ronaldo as player-manager would be awesome.
Mick McCarthy is available, though.

Re: Real Madrid Next manager
What would a Catalan newspaper know anything about a supposed Madrid clause in his contract though ?
Even then, i really wouldnt be surprised if there exists a clause like that though.

just in
Mauricio Pochettino's new contract with Tottenham, signed last week, does NOT contain a release clause - meaning Spurs would be in a strong position to rebuff interest if Real Madrid come calling. @MattHughesTimes story: https://t.co/DA5QTtmzvw #THFC

Poch seems most likely, but Lopetegui would be the smartest- however we would lack any preseason with him- not the biggest problem though.

Re: Real Madrid Next manager
Doubt it we can poach Lopetegui from Spain and Poch has just renewed his contract with Spurs without release clause. Both candidates seem very difficult to get.

How is Lopetegui a smart choice? he was a colossal flop in Portugal and has no track record in club football.

Re: Real Madrid Next manager
Well, IMO, he already works with many of the players he have and the tactics he has employed for the NT would be a good evolution to what our current setup is. He is very familiar with our club and its operations given he has managed and played at RM. Also I am not sold on this rhetoric that a NT manager cannot coach a club and vice versa, or that the experience doesn't translate.

Re: Real Madrid Next manager
So far, these are the players who thanked Zidane on their Instagram:
Ronaldo
Kroos
Ramos
Nacho
Marcelo
Isco
Navas
Vasquez
Asensio
Case
All the big egos who could've gotten him fired thanked him after he resigned which leads me to believe it's not related to the players. This is something related to transfers, he must have had major disagreements with the club.

- Spoiler:
- Or he simply didn't have the energy to carry on and thought he can no longer lead the team to silverware anymore, which if true, I totally respect.

Re: Real Madrid Next manager
I think it is a little to soon to really know what went on. On the face of things, it just looks like a good time for ZZ to make a career change. The NT job will be open soon, RM will be going through a transitional period, and he is able to go out on a high. I don't think the door is closed to Zidane if he ever wants to come back and manage, but this is the right time for him to try something new.
In time we will find out more details, but for now I think it is impossible to say if there was anything devious going on behind the scenes.

What has he accomplished with the NT exactly? he's going to play his first major tournament this summer.
He was responsible for Porto's worst period in recent history ffs.
