As an IT guy, the IT Crowd is just my spirit animal.
If I ever own or manage at an IT company, I'm going to make this entire show required watching as part of employee training.
An absolute must watch.

Season 3 of Rick and Morty is my favorite of them all. Some truly incredible episodes throughout. One of them has become outright iconic. Current season has been ok, but not at the same level.

Tried the season premiere....it's just really flat to me. It lacks the personality of the movie.
Going to give it 2 more episodes to see if it gets any better.

I wouldn't waste my time tbh. They fucked that production up majorly.
Reshot the entire thing for no seemingly good reason and the conceptual director left (Scott Derrickson) and then they just had some hack director reshoot pilot.
Snowpiercer overall is a cursed property it seems. Both the film and tv-series fucked over.
There a lot of info about it:

https://theplaylist.net/scott-derrickson-snowpiercer-20180630/
I don't really know clearly what the problem was. But if I had to guess it's probably because it had too much of a voice and they wanted something bland to appeal to the most amount of people. Which overall is a weird way of making TV nowadays since every single series is essentially niche.

Actually, this made me remember the other TNT show this show reminds me of: The Last Ship.
So bland and by-the-numbers, but still quite popular with viewers in general.
That's what this felt like to me. The Last Ship......but on a train. Just soulless.

Hope the Parasite TV series turns out better.
Thats HBO and gonna have the director involved so cautiously optimistic.

On the "where did it go wrong", apparently they turned Snowpiercer into... a police procedural

No wonder everyone involved with the original production were pissed

Re: The TV Series Thread - Part 5
I've watched an Italian tv series for the first time in my life and what a fantastic show.. I've realized now because my compatriots hyped so much ' Boris'
Sadly it's not a success that could be replicated abroad, it's damned Italian for many things ... first of all, you can't dubbed Romanesco. Imagine dubbing romanesco with English .. not , not same thing.
another good reason for @McLewis must learn it tbh
I've appreciated it so much that I should give another chance to comedy genre
yes Community is calling me.

thought it was a well made, decent crime series

I'm having a challenging enough time learning vanilla Italian ffs.
I tell you what, I'll learn Romanesco when you can pull off a perfect American Southern accent

Re: The TV Series Thread - Part 5
I watched the first two or three episodes, I think. MT was watching it, so I figured I might as well do it too. It wasn’t for me. It was mostly popular among people in their early to mid- teens here. It seemed to be far more popular abroad.

Was the most popular thing in Denmark for like 18 months. For every age group.
Was absolutely ridiculous for such a mediocre show

Exactly what I said every time someone called it original.
It was an airbrushed version of skins really.
People just liked the soundtrack imo.

Yes I know Gomorra is very hyped even abroad ... Tolisso didn't want to join Napoli after having watched this show
but I've never watched it, personally I find annoying the Neapolitan language unlike of Romanesco ......
It was so popular that even me that hasn't seen a single episode has got some spoiler about it ( I know about some deaths, but that's not real problem, spoiler is irritating but storyline is the thing that matters )

I' m on Community really now,arrved at 12th episode
I had stopped on the 6th previously, so I've officially unlocked
Not still a big fan , but it seems legit
110 episodes totally, I didn't think it was so wide. not a great problem given that lenght of every episode though
