We just need a tough, smart player with a reasonable mind and temper (a la Matic/Kante) and that has some sense and skill of passing the ball forward to the overlapping fullbacks and his more advanced midfield partner.

Madrid would sell both if a good enough offer comes in. If i am sporing director of a club, i would vulture around madrid, we have a lot of talents on our bench who are under exposed, those would be cheaper than similar talents in europe.

A player like Fabinho would only move to a CL club, or failing that, at least a club that will splash a LOT of cash. We need to look for at least some of our signings to be under the radar, guys who are good and capable but maybe not getting as much football as they'd like, at big clubs.

They'll probably be Germany based for the most part since that's where most of Mislintat's connections are. We'll keep looking in France as well since we're well established there.
