I can't tell if none of this stuff has come out about Poch because Spurs run a tight ship and haven't allowed anything to come out, or because there really wasn't a dressing room issue (as there obviously was here)

Anyway, congrats to you guys. My brother will be happy and he and all of you deserve not to suffer through this anymore. Much as it entertained me

and as i read into it, it all seems that the dressing room issue stemmed from the language barrier which i pointed out that it could be a major concern when the appointment was made initially.
But then i would still say it was Emery's rigid philosophy as well - it is obvious he didn't know how to get it across, and then he failed to adapt properly to the qualities of the players and the Arsenal setting (evidenced by turning away Ozil, Ramsey, Koscielny etc etc)
But then again reading further about how the team players mocked his accent and behaviours behind his back on the training ground and team bus, is really just low from the players - but then again we have a squad where our captain said fuck you to thousands of home fans, so this type of behaviour doesn't really surprise me anymore.
At the end of the day it just really wasn't a good fit overall for both parties tbh. But i still maintain that Arsenal FC needs a saviour in the form of a manager that delivers on performance and results, because at the moment the club is bordering on toxicity.

Ornstein: Arsenal see Pochettino as a credible option.
Said with the minor caveat that Pochettino may not want to join because he's taking a break and values his relationship with the Spurs fans.

Ffs who cares about values. Come in and win the PL with us and do an Adebayor vs Arsenal at white hart lane.

As he should, he's the only manager linked that I've seen who isn't overly scared of the opponent.

Arsenal are interested in Mauricio Pochettino but he’s likely to wait to assess his options. Belgium Manager Roberto Martinez will fancy Arsenal but Wolves boss Nuno Espírito Santo will not be a front runner #afc #wwfc

Also, apparently he gets millions and millions in severance pay on the condition he doesn't work for the next months
Not sure if Arsenal are willing to compensate him for that
ie not sure if Arsenal can afford him

What are the chances Bergkamp joining Freddie?

Slim. Bergkamp and some of his Dutch buddies have been trying to buy a whole club, so I doubt he's interested in a return to coaching.
There is talk of Gilberto coming in, though. We should find out who'll Ljungberg's coaching team will be at some point today.

So it will be Freddie, Mertz, Gilberto, Bobby who is always there in training ground, and Edu upstair. Bould is still there? That's whole lots of ex players, might as well bring in Jens to help out with the goalies.

Re: New era manager no 2: Who should replace Unai Emery?
Ornstein spoke about Vieira and Allegri today.
Vieira: Not highly rated in coaching circles, unlikely to be considered.
Allegri: Didn't impress the club last year during his interview, and barely English at all, not even during small talk. Ornstein doesn't think it'll happen.
The Guardian have mentioned Ancelotti and Howe today, but it seems like they're just plucking possible names.

Seems like Pochettino is our first choice, then Rodgers and Arteta if they refuses us.
Absolutely bullshit about Allegri btw, he probably refused. I don’t want to believe that our idiotic board doesn’t even consider him.

No English in small talk last year? Clearly Allegri is not the right choice

Re: New era manager no 2: Who should replace Unai Emery?
Honestly, I have no idea how some random guy named Raul Sanllehi ended up running Arsenal.
Do you guys have any? Who the fuck is this guy and what is he doing running your club?

Re: New era manager no 2: Who should replace Unai Emery?
Gazidis hired him, as "head of football relations", which as I understood it was a pseudo-director of football role.
He was working at Barcelona as a deal fixer of sorts. I don't think he was running their football side, but he was important for transfers and whatnot. Played a big part in the Neymar signing iirc. He's used to working with super agents, which traditionally Arsenal used to stay the hell away from.
Gazidis then pissed off out of nowhere so Sanllehi's role changed to just "Head of Football" while Vinai Venkatesham went from Chief Commercial Officer to Managing Director to look after the business side. He's basically Arsenal's Ed Woodward, just with less say about football matters.
Sanllehi now oversees the current structure and hired Edu as Technical Director to help maintain it. Gazidis initially promised Sven Mislintat the role but we saw how that ended up.
Sanllehi, Edu, Venkatesham and the club's contract negotiator Huss Fahmy are the selection panel for the new head coach. Josh Kroenke, who is a director and basically takes care of the club in place of Stan Kroenke, oversees the whole lot. Josh Kroenke was actually at the training ground yesterday and has been quite keen to show himself in public, unlike his dad.
Note that club chairman Sir Chips Keswick has no say in anything whatsoever.
All of this was part of Gazidis' elaborate plan to change the club's structure to account for the massive power vacuum left by Wenger.

Re: New era manager no 2: Who should replace Unai Emery?
It just feels like those roles are just big names and not actual positions at the club lol. If Josh wants Jesse Marsch in as our manager, none of the 4 horses of apocalypse will say no to him lol.
Technical director, head of football, managing director. it's just all bullshit names lol

They said the same thing about Tottenham. I think he told both clubs to piss off before news got out that they were considering him
