Objective is 1st. We’ve got that. No need to over exert in group play!

Geez, the WC has been good so far, but that probably was the worst game, had to come eventually i suppose. Very underwhelming how it played out...

Yup, whoscored confirmed it as well, Ini, Alba and Vasquez were the weakest links. Really feel Vasquez should not be starting but whatever, Spain does whatever Spain wants.
Another MotM display from Isco. 8.1 rating, lovely.

Considering now Iran has to go all out against Portugal, I won't be surprised if Portugal struggle again and rely on individual brilliance to bail them out.

Nah on the contrary, because Iran has to attack Portugal will find it much easier. Comfortable win for them.

Iran just needs to play safe and wait for their chance from a set piece or something vs Portugal, they were really unlucky with that goal vs Spain

Re: World Cup (2018) - Group B (Portugal, Spain, Morocco, Iran)
Iran had chances vs Spain when they were lossing 1-0 and didn't concede another goal, so I wouldn't write them off yet but I agree that Portugal are the favourites to go through

No they weren't. Just seen another replay. Not only was it offside but it was hands too

Re: World Cup (2018) - Group B (Portugal, Spain, Morocco, Iran)
I never said that wasnt offside, I meant the header that went over the goal and other chances, and that close shot when it was 0-0 when Iran almost took the lead

Spain's defence with a high line is vulnerable, Pique got embarrassed by Amiri tonight

Re: World Cup (2018) - Group B (Portugal, Spain, Morocco, Iran)
Iran had better clear cut chances than Spain actually. If i'm correct , Spain had 1 shot on target for the entire game.
Would've loved see to see De Gea looking like a clueless numpty yet again had that Iran player fired that header in. Unfortunately not to be.

No no no, we are tied on everything but we have one less yellow card. We are 1st statistically. We qill surely get more than 1 against Moracco while Portugal will struggle to get 1 versus Irán and their 10 men defense
Kommander has first.

Iran just can't beat Portugal ffs. Not the one with Kommander in it.

They don’t need to, just hold Ronaldo to one goal! With their 10men defense, not a problem!

Are you drunk? Once they see the Kommander in person they will crumble.

Curious why people thought they were a dominant force coming in though? they've been pretty shite at the last two tournaments.
They have some pretty fatal flaws also which both games have shown in spades.

Not convinced by either Portugal or Spain, they both looked very beatable today. Portugal were worse than Morocco and only won because things are dangerously prepared for CR, Spain barely broke through Iran. Will lose the first time they face a top 5 side.
