One Saudi player got a tattoo against his club's wishes but he still got it and it ended up getting infected so he missed games lmaooo

Not watching the game so maybe there's also a Saudi one, but that was Varela, the Uruguayan Man United right back loaned to Eintracht Frankfurt

He used to until he did that. Eintracht suspended him, basically kicked him out and he never played for them again.

Uruguay have such a good spine but have so little quality or pace out wide. I feel like we won't see their real quality until they play better opposition.

sportsczy wrote:Watching the game v Uruguay... I wonder if Saudi Arabia threw the match against Russia. Looks very very suspicious to me. You don't go from a team that looks like an amateur pub team to one that's competitive somewhat just like that.
Again especially with Russia its so possible Football and WCs have always been rumoured and sometimes known to be fixed, its depressing but it exists.
Im still on the lookout for Russia and continue to see how much they can keep their amazing performances up

I can't decide which team is more boring between Portugal and Uruguay. Hope they both get knocked out asap

They both could meet each other in the knockouts
One of these teams will be in the quarters for sure imo.

Re: World Cup (2018) - Group A (Russia, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Uruguay)
Uruguay look very disjointed imo, I have more faith in Portugal tbh who look more fluid systematically but atm most of their offensive players are underperforming.
Uruguay on the other hand imo look to have no rhyme or reason to what they want to achieve.

Uruguay are better against stronger sides, they enjoy to sit back as they have a great defence, and it's Uruguay after all, they always scrap through matches and go deep into the tournament, they are like Portugal 2016 or Italy

Re: World Cup (2018) - Group A (Russia, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Uruguay)
You can expect Uruguay to win 1-0 whether it is vs Argentina or vs San Marino , they always played like Atletico and Italy. I think they will go through with a boring win over at least 1 good attacking side in the knockouts, I'm calling it now. If we get Uruguay-Portugal it will basically be a replay of Mourinho's Chelsea vs Atletico a few seasons ago

Coates still exists? I remember him from a few years ago when McAgger used to hype him as the next best CB
