he's already well on his way into the very elite of defenders. Surely the best young CB in the world.

Considering how much he was whining after the Madrid knockout I can already tell he doesn't have the grit and stoicism elite CB's (like Bailly) have. B+ defender IMO. But maybe that will come with maturity.

something about him looks Cavemanish too, how is his footballing IQ? always underrated aspect of a CB's game. Maybe his looks deceive.

Checks whoscored and see he got a 6.6 rating. Yup, my eye test matched the whoscored test: bang average. Ok, maybe above average.

Heynckes is obviously biased, he could not admit that he's decent at best, had it been the case

Süle was a hidden gem for me in a Fifa career with Hoffenheim. Him and Schär was an absolute beast backline, never sold them. Glad to see him having success, he can only improve, central defenders usually start to show world-class level around 25 years old if not later. Hardest position in football.

But i don't want to break the chain so i'll tag him as a german Acerbi in the making
