Re: Summer Transfer Rumours 2018/19
Mohamed Salah confirms that he will not be leaving Liverpool this summer. The Egyptian had been linked with a move to Real Madrid, but speaking at the FWA Awards dinner on Thursday, the Reds winger said:
I’m very happy here and everything is fine. I have got ambitions for the future, with Liverpool.
We had a great season and now we are in the Champions League final, and everyone is excited. It is just the start. This is my first year here and it is the same for some other players. We have had an unbelievable year. It is just the beginning.

for what it's worth I expect he will stay but not because of these comments, they mean nothing.

I remember when Milan was doubtful between Sarri and Mihajlovic and at the end they chose Sinisa ... what a sliding door tbh

never watched a MLS game but i get the feeling that teams only get to sign players if LA galaxy dont want them.Warrior wrote:Wayne Rooney to DC United (Washington)

pretty sure there are rules to limit the amount of foreigners on teams to like 3-5, so there are enough to go around the entire league, otherwise LA Galaxy would have 11 former stars

Yeah true, i'm just trying to be optimistic, i've lost all faith though, i have o confidence going into the season seeing what we\'ve been linked to. No even the infinity gauntlet can revive us.

Well for me it is not so impossible Sarri to choose Milan
But I don't know if Milan is going to think for another coach after the extension for Gattuso
Not playing EL is a serious risk though ( risk ? do you want to play it also next year? ) , Atalanta and Fiorentina are next matches

LA Galaxy is the Real Madrid of MLS, sort of. But they aren't the only club to have huge soccer stars, far from it.
David Villa is the best player in the league, plays for New York
Kaka had good times in Orlando
Schweinsteiger is shite in Chicago
Rooney will probably be shite in Washington now
The eternal Obafemi Martins was a beast in Seattle
damn i've seen Nesta and Drogba wear my hometown crest, 10 years ago i'd never believe this
MLS clubs are franchise, they have lots of money, and within 2022 or so they will be 2x times richer. The league expands very quick and overall interest for the league is growing just as fast. Designated players like Rooney, Zlatan etc is a huge factor of marketing.
The major downside is lack of quality of USA/Canada born players since there is a quota for them. Idk what % precisely

Ok, I know MLS just because Italian newspapers talk about how much is GOAT Giovinco there
Convinced he was best player in the league so

He was an absolute monster 1 or 2 years ago but couldn't maintain the pace
Frankly not surprising that Italian newspapers are still hyping him for it

Schweinsteiger sucks for Chicago? lol, good to know, there were some posters around here that were convinced Mou was at fault for rarely utilizing him.

Re: Summer Transfer Rumours 2018/19
Basti does not suck for Chicago . Best player they've signed in ages. Consistently the best player along with Nikolic.
Chicago were mighty lucky to get him as this is not an en vogue destination for these aging European stars, despite the city being awesome.
Rooney in DC is generating some serious excitement not just in MLS circles, but in American sports circles in general. DC United used to be basically the LA Galaxy of the East, but have declined badly into irrelevance. A signing like this, depending on whether Rooney turns into a Beckham and not a Gerrard, could be what's needed to help lift the club back into prominence.
