Tales of Vesperia was the reason I got a 360 back in the day. My local GAME literally only had one copy in stock and I got it.

Namco Bandai were a bit sneaky about this one, though. It was the first Tales of game on the Xbox (it's always been a PS series after its initial success on the SNES) and was billed as an exclusive. Then a couple of years they brought out a port for the PS3 with a boatload of new content and it never left Japan. I had to import a copy from some seller in South Korea.

So hopefully this ends up being a remaster of that version, not the original 360 one. And hopefully it comes out on Switch or PC as well so I can justify buying it again.

Did any of you ever play through Darksiders 2? It's a surprisingly good game, but it feels like I expected it to come to a conclusion 20 hours ago. Didn't expect the game to be so massive. There's a ton of optional stuff you can do, as well ffs.

After the recent announcements i've decided to play Pokemon for the first time in like 15 years

Pokemon Platinum to be specific as i heard the DS ones are really good and the 3DS ones are a bit shit, really enjoying it so far even if mechanically it's not much different to what i remember even if they've obviously made some improvements to make the game less of a chore here and there and some balance stuff.

But i heard Black and White changed the game a lot so i'll give that a go if i'm still feeling it when i finish this one.

EA in a few hrs, only looking at FIFA, Anthem is gonna bomb. I used to agonizingly wait for Mass Effect, but they killed BioWare and the series, hope the crowd booes them or something, legit need Roman heat on these guys for all the shit over the past year.

Anthem is Bioware's last chance or they'll be released and start touring the indie gaming circuit under some name like BionicWare or something.

I hope it works out for them but I think it'll suck too, like Destiny. Overly ambitious and can't deliver on 25% of what they claim.

I so want Anthem to be good, but i have zero belief that it will be.

A Destiny type game with prime Bioware storytelling would be *bleep* amazing.

But i fear that Bioware no longer exists.

FIFA basically took the last remaining exclusive content (The Real Madrid League) of PES.

EA now just steamrolled through PES after nearly carbon copying their mechanics in the mid 2000s. That's what the Premier League and a huge marketing budget does.

Next game I buy most likely, September. Only gonna buy that and RDR this year I expect. Not that I think this looks amazing, Dark Souls Anime though? I'm in.

Yakuza 0 is amazing, wasn't sure it was your thing though.

Reason i asked is because i wasn't sure what you have played so didn't want to advise you on a game you've already played.

Yakuza is great, 0 is the perfect starting point for the series and imo the best game.

No, one playthrough was enough for me, i liked the combat, but most of the quests were ASS. Like that quest where you have to escort the girl robot from the desert TO THE FOREST. F*ck that shit. Terrible, terrible quest design. Stroy was alright though. Just cba to playthrough it again

Hit continue game. Its not the same. Especially Playthrough 3. You didn't really finish the game, you're like 60% done.

And ignore the sidequests. There's only handful of em that were good.

I can't describe it, the third playthrough completely turns the game upside down and made it a masterpiece for me.

I am really curious why a game requires 3 playthroughs? Does it involve time travel or parallel universes?

I will play it eventually. But it's a strange design.

I liked the game a lot by the end, but I really struggled to find the motivation to replay it a 2nd time tbh.

If this is what they wanted I wish they just made the game longer instead of just breaking it up until multiple play throughs.

Nier: Automata is fantastic after the third playthrough, but I don’t recommend the game to anyone because the majority of people won’t be arsed to play through it twice, let alone thrice. The purpose of this hipster design is that, in order to get the full picture of the story, you have to see things from the perspective of each character. The first playthrough isn’t all that great, so it’s not one of those games that I would necessarily recommend to anyone, unless I think they have the patience to push through to the good part of the game.
