He didn't say it like that and even though what he said can be interpreted that way, it wasn't so dramatic. He just said that Coutinho started last week, Iniesta this week, that what he has to think about is just how to win the game.

Coutinho's been good. In the last game, his fantastic cross to the wing was key in scoring the second goal and he also should have had an assist after that fantastic chip over the defence but Messi missed.

Iniesta hasn't been better than him at all. However, in tough games it makes more sense to count on a veteran than on a newcomer.

so how has he been at Barca so far? I often see him getting goals and assists so I imagine well. I just never hear his name mentioned. I guess because at Barca he's one star in a team of them, rather than playing with the likes of Henderson, Firmino and Lallana.

Short version: He's a goalscoring prime Fabregas withouth being a lost turtle on the pitch. He produces but he ain't no midfield magician and for a forward he lacks pace and off the ball movement.

For our system he actually has no place but we make it work somehow giving him freedom on the left wing.

Hes turned out better than I anticipated so thats good, hes definitely good enough for us as a starter, but to demand more can he be a difference maker for us consistently? I dont think so, if thats asking too much... he has good attitude and works, so hopefully he continues that and improves in order to become even better for us.

Like I said in the Barcelona section, he's an AM who plays behind the striker, something that, as futbol mentioned, doesn't exist in Barcelona's tactical setup. As a winger/CM he is average.

Thats exactly what I feel when watching him for Brazil. Tite is set on his 4-3-3 so he plays shit at CM and then he scores a long ranger outta nowhere.

Coutinho for Barcelona now has 15+9@36 games, which is more effective than any version of Iniesta, it's almost as much as Iniesta had the last 4 seasons, 7+19@119 games. Transfer that should've happened years ago.
