I respect Bayern in that they are an honest and historic club run on merit and steady leadership over many decades. I like what they're doing and I root for them when Utd's not involved.

But there's no doubt that Manchester United is in a far more difficult and contested position in the PL, Bayern are single biggest spenders without competition while Utd have to fight an uphill battle against overwhelming and endless streams of middle eastern money
