Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 34
Would be somewhat strange yet fresh about a match taking place at Matt Hardy's house at Mania lol.
I imagine the logistics of that would probably be too difficult though.

Apparently he's being kept as backup if the steroid thing goes big.

Social Media often EXPOSES what lies within BEINGS--GOOD or BAD.
Some exhibit BRILLIANT LIGHT--true KINDNESS, EMPATHY, UNSELFISHNESS & INSPIRATION.
You also see the DARKNESS within a SOUL when BEINGS display HATRED, IGNORANCE, ENVY & CRUELTY.
Where do you land?
Are you an ASSET or a DETRIMENT to HUMANITY?

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 34
The good
Okada vs Naito - Back and forth, counter after counter after counter. Match was over 30 minutes but never felt it dragged. Just when you thought the finish was near, they'd have another 5 minutes of holds and counterholds ending in a nail biting near fall. And then repeat for another 5 minutes. I understand this Okada hype now, although I never like superman booking.
Jericho vs Omega - I read the reviews but was still skeptical. Was it a great match for the standards of a 47 year old Jericho, or a great match in general? It was a great, brutal match. They played to Jericho's "limitations" by having a hard hitting, no DQ match. Best spot was countering the One Winged Angle into the Walls of Jericho, and then pulling back to a Liontamer. Thought that was going to be the ending.
KES vs Sanada/Evil - Other than having a super generic name in Evil, there's just something about 4 huge dudes betting the hell out of each other that's fun to watch. I swear Davey Boy Smith Jr was not this big last time I saw him back in his WWE days.
Jr heavyweight title match - this was my match of the night. Marty Scurll is my new favourite wrestler. Unique gimmick, great character and surprisingly a really good wrestler. It always amazes me when you get 4 guys who don't even speak the same language, who haven't wrestled each other that often be so well coordinated. This is what the WWE cruiserweight division needs to be...
The ok
Young Bucks vs 3K - This match didn't do much for me. Was ok, but there's been better Young Bucks matches.
Cody vs Ibushi - I don't know if I quite buy into the Cody hype just yet.
The Rumble match - I enjoyed this just to see Taka Michinoku and Jushin Thunder Liger. Yes I did google them to see they are the same person as in the 90s.
The bad
Tanahashi vs White - Even though he's a New Zealander, I don't understand the Jay White hype and why he's getting a super push. This match was not great.
Suzuki vs Goto - Never got into this whole style of wrestling
6 man gauntlet match - too many people and none of the factions (other than Bullet Club) seemed to make any sense. The factions just seemed like 3 random guys who just decided to team up together. Takes away from the investment into the match.
One great thing I've noticed when watching a bunch of new wrestlers is that I don't know their finishing moves, so I get more invested into the near falls. On the other hand, every time I watch an Undertaker match when he hits a chokeslam, I know that won't be the end as he hasn't hit the tombstone or last ride. So it takes away from the investment and emotion. Whereas watching Okada vs Naito, I thought it was going to end about 3 times before it actually ended.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 34
The recent match between Gargano and Almas i thought was gonna end about 5 times lol.
It's only really main roster WWE which massively choreograph their finish.
Of course there are exceptions but for the most part they are terrible at investing people in a match.

Reigns vs Lesnar
Styles vs Nakamura
HHH/Steph vs Angle/Rousey
Orton vs Mahal vs Roode
Rollins vs Balor vs Miz

Some Owens/Zayn/Shane McMachon/Daniel Bryan pay off match
Asuka vs Charlotte
Alexa Bliss vs Nia Jax (vs Banks vs Bayley)?

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 34
Although what WWE should have done is make one of them win the title at the Chamber and build from there.
Jax and Bliss shouldn't even be happening, nobody actually cares.

He's so entertaining when he's actually in something he can care about.
Issue since he left Smackdown (reigns feud aside) he's been walking in circles with no real direction.
You can tell he's enjoying himself atm.
