Would have liked Woody instead of Wijnaldum. Doesn't look bad on paper IMO.

September 9: Manchester City (EPL/Away)
September 13: Sevilla (UCL/Home)
September 16: Burnley (EPL/Home)
September 19: Leicester City (EFL/Away)
September 24: Leicester City (EPL/Away)
September 26: Spartak Moscow (UCL/Away)
One thrashing, one crashing, one scrapping and those wonderful stalemates; that's all for September folks.

Re: LFC Season 2017-18
So where do go from here? Changes are forthcoming but will that be to make someone the scapegoat? Will the changes be cosmetic, an idle whim that things will turnaround? Or will Klopp really intend to shake things up?
A really radical shakeup would see something like this:
However, Klopp may yet not be ready to ditch some of his apples, so it could be like this:

Re: LFC Season 2017-18
As the Death Match shows, you're the club with the most number of top6 games played already in the league.
I expect you to be top 4 by the end of November.

Re: LFC Season 2017-18
The rotating up to now has been promising. However, the number of injuries in defense are threatening to derail any plans of further rotation. I mean, seriously... we were switching between an Ox, Hendo, and Milner trio and a Can and Gini pairing. Well, considering we just used Can and Gini as part of a back three, I have no idea how that's going to impact our rotation. Are we seriously going to switch between playing Can and Gini as a double-pivot and then drop them back into defense in alternating matches? That doesn't sound like a recipe for success.iftikhar wrote:Here's what we got in December:

Re: LFC Season 2017-18
it should be a easy draw but the way this team fold under pressure means klopp and the lads will fin a way to give up 3-4 goals.

Please, please, PLEASE Kloppy don't mess it up. It would be so good to be in the QF after so many years.
I'm predicting a 5-3/5-4 aggregate win.

Re: LFC Season 2017-18
Conspiracy theory for Liverpool to not play CL next season.
Opening game of the season: Watford equaliser offside.
Derby: Everton given softest "penalty" in Everton's only attack of the game.
Against WBA: Solanke goal not given. That was in no way intentional.
6 points dropped due to ref incompetence.

Re: LFC Season 2017-18
I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Our defence isn't the best but our midfield is the bigger problem. We've been stabilized more in midfield since that Spurs game and surprise surprise we don't look that bad defensively.
Liverpool have now kept 13 clean sheets in last 24 premier league games .NO other team has more in same time period.
Liverpool are unbeaten since the 22nd of October (when we played our worst game of the season against Spurs); 12 games, scoring 37 goals, conceding only 7.

Re: LFC Season 2017-18
I've been mostly happy with our season apart from one thing; splashing some £35m on Oxlade (who would have been free in a year) while not signing a CB that we badly needed. Yeah, sure, we tried for Van Djik, but it's amateur work in the transfer market to not have any other options ready when that failed. Signing an improvement on Lovren and Klavan should be about as difficult as counting Everton's trophies in the last 20 years. The fact we failed to strengthen our already weak defence is the main reason we've been dropping points. If we fail to get a top-4 spot it's because of this. But as long as we get that top-4 finish, I'll be happy with the season.
