Re: Juventus 2017/2018 Serie A and Coppa Italia thread
In previous seasons, one of our strengths was playing against the press. We played out the ball much better, Bonucci was a big part of that acting as an extra midfielder at times, and then of course prior to that we had quality passers in the midfield in Pogba, Marchisio, and before them, Vidal and Pirlo.
Now we have been exposed a few times this season for what we are. This match was the reverse of the Lazio match that we won on the 93rd through Dybala but this time Napoli got us but it was a thoroughly deserved victory for them.
The difference between the match tonight was not a Koulibaly header, it was the midfield and their press killing us

Thanks brother, my brother's office is on Yonge St. and not too far from the incident
It's very close to home, so it's quite ridiculous

Cuadrado offer some relevant offensive support. But he hadn't play this position in a while and it showed in defensive zone. Perisic was better than him.

Of course he was going to be shaky with a non-existent Khedira playing close to him.But for what he offered offensively he was one of the best on the pitch and maybe even MOTM.
Like I've said before we don't really have to spend any money to get a top RB.We got one in Cuadrado even though he will need some time to adapt better.
His offensive output and energy is miles better than MDS and an declining Licht.
Hopefully Allegri plays him as a right-back from now on.

They are lip reading 4th referee for saying "now we win" when he actually asks how much extra-time they will give.
It's just priceless to see them suffer so much.
IDGAF either what happens. They will always go back to their bad habits of finding excuses for their shitty team. It's the same old story of Calciopoli where they were proven to be guilty as well.

Missed the game. How did we do? Three goals after falling behind sounds good.

i also didn't watch since i've decided to do other things instead
Next week will be damn interesting, however... Milang followed by Roma !! i predict to lose the Coppa in overtime (hope i'm wrong) and a grimy win in Rome
Hard to believe this season's already coming to an end. Feels like it started yesterday.

Atrocious first half, very lax and careless as has been the theme for the past few games. Goal was purely Buffon's fault, nothing Rugani could do about it.
But once Douglas Costa was bought on for Matuidi, it was a totally different game. MOTM by a mile, assisted two of the goals and almost scored a stunner. Just a repeat of the Juve-Samp game.

Re: Juventus 2017/2018 Serie A and Coppa Italia thread
Exactly as S described.
Once Costa came in he made everyone play better. Our central midfield wasn't that impressive but our play on the wings became very dangerous.
I like how Allegri is playing Cuadrado as RB.He was hot and cold maybe but once the left wing with Costa became more active so did Cuadrado on the right.
Hopefully we'll see Cuadrado as a full time RB next season with Berna on the right as winger and Dybala as CF.
Yeah it doesn't sound like a good idea but Dybala once again showed he is deadly in the box and he can actually make combos with our wingers unlike Higuain who again was poor and wasteful.
We need a more pacy striker for sure and one who is technically gifted enough to not give away almost every ball he gets and not to ruin every counter attack we make.If we can't bring one (selling Higuain if needed) we should just play Dybala there.
The only cons will be his aerial game but Higuain is not much better than him anyway.

Watching the extended highlights I saw Costa coming from the left again. Good to see. 6 assists for him in the last 4-5 games. I hope that stays the norm going forward. He is killing it there.

Changed my mind now. Would honestly sell Higuain if a good offer comes. Gotten slower, first touch has gotten heavier. Stark contrast from the player he was last season. He (as usual) botched an easy chance yesterday due to his poor first touch.

The problem with selling Higuain is replacing him with someone good enough. I'll die if we sell Higuain and replace him with Morata.

I think we have Higuain for at least 1 more season at least.
The recent depressing midfield transfer links make it seem fairly clear that we are likely in for a disappointing fix.
With the current state of things, and the players we are sure that will come, I think we'd get the best out of everyone involved by going with an Atalanta style 3-4-3 for next season. I think that would benefit Higuain, Dybala and Pjanic greatly.

We should sell Higuain now that he still has some value. His decline is getting more and more obvious. He's getting slow and loses too many balls plus he's not a player who will do anything on the counter attacks.
Like I said we should replace him with a more pacy attacker or even just turn Dybala into a CF.
Costa-Dybala-Bernardeschi will work better than any attacking lineup we can field.
If any offer around (50-60m) comes for Higuain we should sell him right away and replace him (Morata,Martial,Lacazette,Aubameyang just to name a few would be reachable wuth that money)
Next buy SMS or someone similar and there you have a pretty good team.
Douglas Costa - Dybala/Morata - Bernardeschi/Dybala
....................Milinkovic-Savic........E.Can
.....................................Pjanic
Sandro/NEW LB....Chiellini.....Benatia......Cuadrado
....................................Szczesny
Considering we'll bring Caldara and Spinazzola and maybe someone else for depth that is a excellent team.
We should send the glass man Howedes back and make Barza as 5th choice CB.
A 2nd keeper in case Buffon retires.Hopefully not cuz with this team we'll get the CHL in first try
