juve_gigi wrote:Love the banter from the Milanisti. You finally have a reason to be alive and follow football after the Chinese cut you a cheque for $4 trillion.
Must be nice just to be able to write cheques and not worry about an actual budget or anything like normal clubs.
We will see what happens this year. All banter aside, Milan will obviously be improved from last year. I doubt you can spend over $200 million in one summer and not be improved unless your name is Inter.
Anyways, we will see how Bonucci does in the red and black. As for your other signings, other than Andre Silva I don't really see any world class players, just a bunch of average to above average squad players or players with some good potential. But those players now need to play as a team, so putting pretty much an entire starting XI together over one summer may become a challenge for you. We will see.

Re: Juve should not be considered an elite club anymore
Bonucci = Juve molded him into an excellent defender
Conti = a top prospect in Italy
All other new players = decent at best
You have one world-class player and it's Bonucci. Rest of the team is barely good enough to challenge Roma for the last step of the podium.
ES & rossoneri friends laughing at Juve with dem little videos... is like a 8 year old kid a receiving a bike for Christmas and boasting about it to an adult who owns a car and a motorcycle. Cute.

Give'm a few weeks
I'm surprised he still has any skills left really. We are going to have to break De Sciglio down right to the studs and rebuild him brick by brick. Hopefully by end of December he will have learned the basics of the fullback position once again.

De Scrubio is an expected fraud , it was enough to watch him in Serie A in recent years. Signed (for 12 lol ) just because Italian player so they can continue on their loved tradition of #italjuve (don't you know the satisfaction to write this hashtag on twitter ?!? ) . Then it's not strange if they don't win in Europe with this provinciale mentality though. Milan signed R.Rodriguez almost to same price and he is much better

I think they signed him because of how good he looked with Allegri, not so much their obsession with Italian players.
Either way, Juve will turn him into Zambrotta, and Milan will turn Bonucci into Zapata.

I think beating 3 of the top teams in Europe over a two-legged tie is more impressive than winning a one game winner take all which, according to every manager ive heard speak, is a crap shoot.
Ill side with Brian Clough on this one. Id trade the domestic cup and the European cup if it means winning the domestic league, which is a much more impressive achievement.

Madrid also beat Bayern and Atletico on way to the final and scored 4 against the supposed (and I think actual) best defensive side in the UCL.
As far as impressive goes, Jjuve still came 2nd.

Whatever helps you cope with the constant final losses I guess.

What facts, exactly?
Getting to the final and losing is more impressive than winning the damn thing? not a fact.
Winning a non-competitive league is a greater achievement than winning the continent's elite tournament? not a fact.

Re: Juve should not be considered an elite club anymore
I'm not taking part in this argument. But this non competitive league was settled by only 4 points over a 38 game season. That's very competitive if you ask me.
Anyways, Juventus sucks, lost finals, sold Bonucci etc.

Re: Juve should not be considered an elite club anymore
BTW....They are facts. I probably worded the first part wrong, because it implies losing the finals is more impressive than winning it. It should've been more along the lines of making it to the finals a bunch of times is more impressive than winning it one year, although that's the impression that's given. And Brian Clough did in fact say the second part.
e.g. the Bills making the superbowl 4 years straight is incredible and more impressive than the Redskins winning it that one year.

Re: Juve should not be considered an elite club anymore
That's more a matter of opinion.
Being champions is undoubtedly a bigger feat than being finalists.
Being multiple finalists versus being a single champion, I'm sure nearly all would admit they would take being champion.
It's a fact our ratio in finals is atrocious, but it's nice to field a consistently competitive team that can make a run at these trophies and right now, even without a CL, our last 6 years have been of the highest quality.

Ladies and gentlemen, groundbreaking new findings by Professor FilthyLuca of the Jjuniversity of Education Experience and Elite in Turin. Going to the the CL final and losing is a greater achievement than actually winning the final.
But of course a Jjuve fan would think that. It all makes sense.
