As if anyone would trust him in midfield after his "performance" against France
Sell and replace hin with Maitland-Niles. Use the Ox money to sign a proper CM.

Mahrez to Arsenal... official announcement expected this week. #AFC

No idea how reliable he is. Freelance journo. No other source reporting it like he is.
EDIT: seems the original source is Calciomercato. Best ignore it.

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
Can already see it. Mahrez is Alexis' replacement.
@RG Wenger can *bleep* off he wants to play Lacazette outwide with Giroud thru the middle.
I really don't get this interest in Mpabbe. Just how would Wenger ever pay sooooo much for a young kid. Just doesn't make sense. Why I think most of it is crap.

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
Monaco have received proposals for both Mendy (Manchester City) and Lemar (Arsenal) which they have so far turned down, but the former has agreed personal terms with the Citizens and the latter has told Arsenal representatives through intermediaries that he wants to work under Arsène Wenger next season. Privately, Lemar and Mendy know that after producing the best string of performances in a single season individually in 2016/17, that this could be the optimum time to move.

Over the last three seasons, Lacazette has scored every 4.5 shots (penalties excluded), one of the best in Europe. Giroud also in Top 10. pic.twitter.com/ylOkWXBWBZ

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
Replacing Alexis with Lemar and Mahrez (plus Lacazette) would be decent if Alexis is sold abroad somewhere. If he only wants to move to a PL club then even Lemar + Mahrez is not worth it.

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
So our most likely team next season is looking like:
Good enough to get back into the top four at least?
What I'd really want:
Cech
Holding Koscielny Mustafi
Bellerin Xhaka Ramsey Kolasinac
Mahrez Ozil
Lacazette
Holding Koscielny Mustafi
Bellerin Xhaka Ramsey Kolasinac
Mahrez Ozil
Lacazette

Welcome Lacazette
We now have two of Europe's most efficient goalscorers.

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
I suspect we'll fail not only with Mbappe but with Lemar as well, and after Lacazette, we'll end up selling Alexis, signing Mahrez, and Ox remains a question mark.
If that's to be the case ... losing Alexis will be a huge case of the opposite of "statement of intent," and quite awful to bear, but I wouldn't give up hope of a significant challenge to get back into the CL at least with those prospective signings. Signing one of the Monaco players would be some serious icing on the cake.

The Mahrez links have, as expected, been largely exaggerated but there is interest from Arsenal according to Leicester Mercury.

According to Chilean journalist @Juan_Luis16 - Alexis Sanchez will not be leaving Arsenal.
Never heard of him but another opinion in the mix.

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
This weekend is making me think we're going to sign Lacazette and Mahrez and keeep Alexis and Ozil. I'm scared.
Imagine having two, maybe three signings done before our first pre-season game.

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
Thinking about the Lacazette signing, it's crazy that after 4 years Ozil will finally have a worthy striker to pass to. Wasted one of the most creative midfielders in the world with Giroud and Welbeck
Truly think Ozil will have an amazing season if something like a stupid injury to either of them doesn't happen.

Re: The Official Summer Transfer Rumours Thread
N'Zonzi-Xhaka would be great. Almost as good as N'Zonzi-Banega.
In all seriousness, there hasn't been many links to CMs so far. It seems like after we finish our attacking signings, that'll be it unless someone leaves. Wenger did say he only wanted two or three, after all.
Which would suck because at the moment we'd be going into next with injury-prone Ramsey as a starter with Elneny and Coquelin as backup. We won't get very far with those options.
