Yeah pretty much everyone at Chelsea having a good game except maybe Moses who isn't too involved. Particularly good Willian and Fabregas.

Chelsea looking strong... credit to them again despite recent troubles. Wonder if Abrom will buy even more players to strengthen, scary thought.

If Pedro could get his finishing boots on he could have a hat trick today, he's getting a ridiculous amount of chances

Arsenal team play Liverpool:
Cech; Holding, Koscielny, Monreal; Chamberlain, Ramsey, Xhaka, Bellerin; Ozil, Alexis; Welbeck
Wenger Drops Lacazette, plays Welbeck up front instead. Drops Kolasinac, plays a winger at wing-back and right wing back at left wing back.

Inb4 Hans lectures us all how Wenger knows more about football than you all ever will after a 4-1 defeat.

That's been my entire argument though lol, he's not the coach he was when he was scraping CL qualification with shit like Denilson and Squillaci.
Every manager goes through it eventually if they stay long enough, i like to refer it as Lippism

We both have crap backlines. Big difference today is that Pool have guys who can score and we have Danny Welbeck.

The combination of Gomez, Moreno and Lovren (you might throw-in Karius as well) may well make him look like prime Batistuta.Jay29 wrote:We both have crap backlines. Big difference today is that Pool have guys who can score and we have Danny Welbeck.

Not sure if Arsene is trolling but if we loose then its all on him. Mustaphi and Lacazette on the bench while Holding and Wellbeck start

So we can confirm that kneejerk legacy and the greater footballing world were kneejerking hard after Chelsea opener?
Said they were fine ffs.
LIV-ARS hoping for a draw tbh. But a good game more than anything

Re: Premier League 17-18 Discussion
nah Chelsea still get battered by both Manchester teams. They still have 0 depth. Once CL starts up either that or the league form will suffer. Probably both. Need signings big time.
They were good today, but Everton were awful.

Wenger
Not only that but Holding distribution looked suspect against Leicester, not sure if it's a good idea starting him against a team which presses like pool. Also Ox against one of the best Wingers in the league in mane. Arsene is just asking to be beaten today

Lacazette and Giroud are both on the bench
Giroud loves a goal against Liverpool, but it's not his type of game, so fine. But Welbeck over Lacazette? ffs

Re: Premier League 17-18 Discussion
Agree with firenze, Chelsea is desperate for depth, a couple of injuries or CL responsibilities could hit them too hard. Otherwise in terms of in-form level I see Chelsea or United at the top. The rest a bit below.

Don't know what to expect from Liverpool-Arsenal. I was thinking like a 2-2 but with that lineup from Wenger...
2-1 Liverpool?

Stop it. United have only played scrubs. We don't know anything about their level, while Chelsea have beaten both Tottenham and Everton now.

Re: Premier League 17-18 Discussion
Comfortable win for Liverpool imo. Firmino will expose the space we leave in front of our defence, Mane will roast Holding all game and Chamberlain (if he's LWB) will leave Monreal exposed to Salah. Maybe we can knick a goal or two but just can't see how we won't concede.

Completely agreed about United. Let's see how they play against tougher opponents. But, if you want to be completely honest you have to admit that Everton looked today like a team fighting to avoid relegation. Chelsea played without opposition today. So Everton were scrubs too.
Also, I don't get why people are talking about Chelsea having problems. They only lost one game, there's time for anything. Never doubted them.

I see that Arsenal camp in general seems low on confidence. But the biggest weapon Sanchez is back for you and trust me after that Watford game, we can be extremely good in some situations and definitely see the other extreme also. I can see Arsene subbing in both Lacazette and Giroud to make the scoreline 3-3

We know that City are looking poor (but will do well in the end). Spurs don't look any better than last year. Arsenal have Wenger so they ain't winning the league. Liverpool are fighting themselves with that defense.
United looks solid, started very well, and made great signings they needed (Lukaku and Matic).

It doesnt even matter if Utd play against top 6. ManUtd under Mourinho would as usual play championship level timid and small team level football against big teams and try to get a 1-0 win with Fellaini header after 80minutes.
