Re: General Games Discussion
Bought Baldur's Gate Anthology for 28€, and have clocked 29h the first one in four days.
I've actually never played the second one, nor the newly released 1.5 so it will be fun to take a character through all this.
Also Steam has 85% off from Witcher 1 and 2 currently, pulled the trigger with 4€. Lets see if I can pull my teeths enought to finish these.

I played it in the release, but I don't even remember if I finished it. Only thing I remember from it is the engine limitation how Geralt couldn't even jump over a fence, and had to weave windy fields endlessly back and forth.

Re: General Games Discussion
Harmonica mate I love Elder Scrolls as Skyrim was extravagant, more so since I'm into Norse lore and Morrowind was pioneering but if we are comparing it to TW3 its not even close.

I liked Skyrim more than Witcher 3 shoot me.
They are vastly different experiences but I got more enjoyment and fun out of Skyrim.

Skyrim
Dunno how a game with bad quest design, characters, writing, gameplay can be liked by anyone tbh.
Horizon is better.

Re: General Games Discussion
Only thing W3 has going for it is story, and questing, and frankly Bethesda with quests mods beats even that easily. Maybe Game Of Thrones heads wanted it to be diverse from players and gameplay perspective, and Witcher3 engine still was static state when it was released, compared to Gamebryo which was dynamic like a decade ago. It's like comparing professional to novice, who do you want to trust your franchise with?

I've known you long enough to know most probably why you do so understandable.

No it IS a solid game no doubt but just feels outdated in too many ways to be mentioned anywhere near TW3.
Have not yet tried Horizon.

M99 wrote:You guys do know that remasterings are done by B teams and take little to no time of the big projects? Elder Scrolls people have been working on Fallout 4 and the two new IPs they keep mentioning.
I was thinking more along the lines of if Skyrim wasn't bringing in 30-40 quid per copy from each remaster they'd be inclined to have started 6 before now.
@Harmonica, you can't stop producing something you haven't started, unless you mean the franchise in general, in which case they've delayed it, not stopped it.

We had this discussion before with RedOranje. Here you are again listing things as facts when they are not.
I must be a massive corporate slave to sink 300 hours into the game and enjoying it. Fighting dragons, getting married, building houses, taking over thieves guilds and assassination cults was more fun for me than what I did in Witcher 3. Witcher has the better story but Skyrim was more fun to play for me.

Re: General Games Discussion
None of those things negated what I said though, also I didn't mention Witcher 3 tbf.
I was just criticising Skyrim for things it fails to do.
I could ignore them all if it just did one of them well and it didn't in my experience.
I could ignore that I found its combat to be tediously boring if the quests were fun, I could ignore that if I found its characters engaging and I could ignore that if it's story was well written.
None of which it achieved, which is why I said Horizon is better as for the most part it manages to succeed in every single department I just mentioned.
I'd love to appreciate it like you do but sadly it's exactly the same as every other Bethesda game I have tried to like.

As a person with no bias, who likes both games, i can say that i'm more captivated with TW3 than i was with Skyrim

Re: General Games Discussion
Finished Uncharted: Lost Legacy.
I absolutely love everything about this game.
The banter between Nadine and Chloe is top notch, the game is ridiculously beautiful ( i took about 20 screenshots
) i greatly enjoyed how Chloe's character developed, the Puzzles were fantastic and the game was wonderfully paced.
Combat wasn't as constant as some Uncharted's but ones that were there were really well designed and the set pieces are much better than Uncharted 4s IMO.
in one of the Chapters the game is more open than the Madagascar level from UC4 which has it's own side mission which you can do if you want but it's completely optional ( i did)
It took me at least 10 hours, so it's not short by any means and the best thing i can say about it is it proves Uncharted doesn't need Nathan Drake.
Feels more like a spin off than DLC, anyone that has ever liked Uncharted at any stage should buy this without a seconds thought.

- Nah, i think the UC2 train set piece was better
I think the best set piece in the series is the whole Madagascar one, from start to finish, coming down from the mountain,
to the clocktower, to the chase and explosions and shit
2nd favorite is a tie between UC2 and UC3 plane set piece

stop (stŏp)
v. stopped, stop·ping, stops
2. To put an end to what one is doing; cease: had to stop at an exciting place in the book.
Doesn't mean they wont again continue developing it though.

They had no intention of going straight to TES 6. They never stopped producing anything. So once again. Calm your tits fanboy.
If anything the reason they are delaying TES 6 production is because 5 has been bringing in so much money in various forms they can afford to wait a long time. If nobody was interested in Skyrim version 6.0 then they'd probably move the timeline forward.
