Surely hating Groundhog Day scenarios doesn't mean you hate the Groundhog Day? Absolute classic.

Re: The Movie House - Part 9
Watched some films. Don't judge since they were either on TV or cousin's shitty collection.
Wreck it Ralph
Good. lol at the MGS reference
7.5/10
The BFG
eh. breakfast scene with the queen was hilarious. Rest was eh.
6.5/10
Elysium
Not even Matt damon could save this film from being mediocre
6.5/10
Rush hour 3
was actually okay
6.5/10
Jason Bourne
I liked it a lot. Story was weak but rest of the stuff was classic Bourne. Thought they really tried hard at times. Specially with the chase scenes. But i liked it. Not as bad as I thought it would be
7.4/10
Transformers: Dark of the Moon
lmfao. Trash
2/10
Valkyrie
decent
7/10
San Andreas
lmfaooooooooooooooooo
2/10
Hercules
1/10

Bourne marathon with some friends in a bit. We've decided to exclude the Renner one though. Should be fun.

The LEGO Batman Movie is amazing.
Bane and Michael Cera's Robin are absolute show stealers. Bane is very limited, but his lines legit made me cry. So funny.

Nocturnal Animals
Had to watch it twice.
It certainly is unique in its style. It has things going for it, but then things also not going for it. Would be fun to watch Kick-Ass and then this just to see what acting growth and range is, as presented by Aaron Taylor-Johnson here.
4/5
La La Land
Had to beat of a cold this weekend to make the trip to the cinema to see this.
Maybe not as jaw-dropping beautiful and magical as I expected, but still beautiful and magical, and Emma Stone omgggggzzz

RG, we're throwing a parade here on GL and putting up an Emma Stone dedicated banner on the homepage when she picks up the Oscar, right?

Sully what did you think of the very first scene of Nocturnal Animals?
And on a more serious note that car scene

At first I was just like... okayyy. And just sat through it and thought well this is fashion tycoon Tom Ford's film, so I'm not really surprised he came up with something like this.
- Spoiler:
- Apparently though it is meant to juxtapose Susan's seemingly "perfect" life. These obese women dancing naked display freedom and acceptance of who they are, and Susan who has a lot going for her doesn't have that freedom in her life.
The car scene. I presume you mean the very first one when Susan starts reading the book. It was pretty suspenseful, scary and one of the highlights of the film.

The suspense scale goes upto 99, therefore 9 would be too low imo.

Re: The Movie House - Part 9
Stumbled upon a movie (on TV) called Chronicle (2012) that had the impressive Michael B Jordan. An interesting take on super hero/fantasy genre with the Found footage style . There was novelty of course and had potential. but after a point, they decided to get more serious and it started to fall flat, I mean the film.
6/10
A 1 time watch that promised a lot especially during its good first half.

Told you it was amazing. Definitely in my top 3 Korean films. Loved the main actor and surprised he hasn't come in any other films. Literally been 7 years. No idea where he has dropped off to.
Actually a good comparison with man of fire. Man from nowhere is 5 times better easily though.

Yea from what I can remember from Chronicle is that is started really well and promising. Had a good atmosphere in particular, until the film took a shitty route.
@BC The Wailing is a good horror yea.
