Last time we played Middlesborough there were like 78 penalties i think.

Team news:

Coutinho back in 2 weeks
Lovren 50/50
Gomez nearly fit

Karius
Clyne Matip Klavan Milner
Henderson Can Lallana
Mane Origi Firmino

Hope we can change this form

Wijnaldum will start. Can is still not back yet. Won't be ready for tomorrow.

Sadness, Can offers more protection in midfield imo

Disappointing title tbh. Far from your A-Game.

Can slows the game down too much and makes really weird decisions sometimes. If he could learn to be more disciplined he'd be a good partner to Wijnaldum but they offer very different things. Wijnaldum is probably the best transition player and anti-pressure player on our team. I like having him in the side for those reasons.

Anyway Firmino at CF and Origi out wide please. Otherwise I don't really care.

Matip Sad

I'm feeling really nervous about this game. The rest of the players need to step up.

A decent half, scored what's probably going to be the only non-set-piece header all season.

Firmino is again having minimal impact. Need to get Lallana on the ball more often, he's making things happen instead of just safe passes from Henderson.

Lallana is the best player on the team. Everything else looks good until now, They've been targeting Milner's wing.

Firmino and Henderson need to look themselves in the mirror. Shameful performance from the two of them.

Lallana and Lovren played very well in that first half.

Mignolet good too.

Good win. Needed the 3 points. 2nd place Proud

Lallana MOTM.

Origi and Mane played very well.

Mignolet was good. Lovren was good.

Firmino improved a lot in the second half.

An excellent win. My only slight criticism would be that we need to get the ball to our danger men quicker. Henderson passing it around with the back-four creates nothing.

The Merseyside derby next, get in. A shame it's on a Monday night, though.

Second half was our brilliant best. We haven't played like that since Coutinho went down. Very happy we got to that level.

Big ups to Mignolet he played well. He's been good all season and deserves chances to play.

Thought most of the team played very well to be honest. Firmino was meh out wide again, but in the second half when Origi started drifting out wide more Firmino looked great centrally where he should be playing anyway.

Origi can be a star. What a young player he is. I really liked Wijnaldum for this one also -- the guy that does everything that doesn't show up on the stat sheet. His ability to speed up our play through the middle and in transition is unrivaled on the team. Loved his play for Origi's goal.

On to the next.
