So Taker sacrifices his streak to build Brock Lesnar and then they call back 50 year old guy whose last fight probably was with his wife over last piece of pizza and then make him squash Brock like he is Spike freaking Dudley. This company

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 30
Just for the surprise factor alone that squash was worth it. Everybody and their mother expected a comprehensive Lesnar victory so I thought it was kinda cool that we got the unexpected. Don't have much problems with that. I just read that Goldberg has agreed to work for the Royal Rumble PPV so there could possibly be something more to it than it being just a one off squash fest.
Although I'm not sure I dig a rematch between both though.

Seen a lot of people complaining about that tbh, I honestly don't care.
Honestly I'd rather they forget the streak thing ever happened really, if you persist with the streak rub it's just going to be a endless cycle of Superman pushes.
Think about it, say the next great Superstar beated Brock he'd be pushed to the moon and the guy beats him and so on.
It's a vicious cycle of Superman pushes and I personally don't want that.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 30
actually liked the goldberg match tbh, like others have said he couldn't last in a 15 min match 15 years ago let alone now and the crowd liked it + everyone is talking about it online now, probably the most WWE has been talked about since Brock beating the streak.
I'm sure Brock doesn't give a shit. It was mad nostalgic ffs. Took me back and was an unreal shock.
you think this was always the plan? I haven't been watching much so have no idea on angles etc but saw a lot of people predicting Shane would interfere and cost Brock before the event started? lol? Shane seemed legit injured so maybe they had to change plans at the last minute? highly doubt it just wondering
also seen comments online which I agree with in that it doesn't really diminish Brock (btw his selling was GOAT) his shtick of coming in and destroying people then disappearing for months got old a while back for most. It may actually work in his favor long term since he can now be free of that monster heel persona and have some more interesting feuds in the future.
interesting to hear Goldberg will work the rumble, he's not gonna win it surely? I don't even know what I'd like to see him do at Rumble/Mania if that's the plan because again, no way he can work a match over 10 mins long.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 30
Well Goldberg winning was the plan as i he was a massive favourite with the betting like 40 minutes before the event started.
Maybe Shane getting legit concussed as that's what happened lol changed the style of match changed it but i do doubt it.
Reckon this was the plan, also Brock won't give a shit as i said before Wrestlers mainly don't give a shit about winning or losing really. They care about the performance, their position on the card and obviously getting paid. When you listen to as much of these shoot interviews as i have you come to realise that winning and losing is the last thing they care about and more of a fan thing.
Also Stone Cold has said this before but when you give Brock something to sell he will sell his *bleep* ass off, i don't like his style since going to Suplex City but his selling has never been a question mark.

Lmaooooooo Bork got squashed
GOAT ending, and ma wyatt boys winning for team SD
Now finally this can be the beginning of Brock having feuds where he doesn't shit on people. Just waiting on main man strowman to squash him before he quits WWE for good.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 30
Speaking of the Wyatts i can't be the only one who finds Orton like 20x more entertaining with the Wyatt Family for some reason?
I can't explain it, but i enjoy this Orton so much more than what he was doing before as part of this.
and RKO's out of nowhere will never ever get old.
Enjoyed the Men's 5 v 5 a lot more than i expected i would tbh, everything seemed to build up current or future feuds. Strowman ( who i amazingly like now ) and Ellsworth thing was hilarious, it was subtle but Owen's attacking AJ with the list was blatantly a start of a Owens and Jericho feud, The Shield triple powerbomb on AJ was a great moment and it furthers AJ and Ambrose at TLC and obviously it ended with the Wyatt Family on top.
I can have zero complaints with any of it.

Not all of them are like this tbh, like Shawn Michaels. he was a giant douchebag in 90s, heard Undertaker legitimately threatened him to beat him up if he refused to take the loss against Austin in WM14.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 30
Hopefully WWE aren't still planning on Orton generically backstabbing the Wyatts a la Bryan in 2013 or whatever.
No reason why damaged goods Orton can't work as a Wyatt for a while. Gives him a fresh character change, legitimises the family and he can be booked as even more unstable and dangerous. Nobody wants to see old Randy being a main event jobber/title contender again and Bray is much more of a big deal with Randy by his side.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 30
Goldberg apparently competing in the rumble match next year.
As for the match against Lesnar, is it even possible to get 3 finishers in 2 mins on WWE 2K17 lol? Didn't really make sense for someone who's approaching 50 and hasn't competed in 12 years to squash Lesnar who's in his prime.
Should have been a regular match imo with one of them stealing a victory at the end.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 30
Yea as it turns out, Lesnar was to win against Goldberg but Goldberg very recently agreed to do more matches and WWE were impressed with his physique.
So he will now be at Rumble and WM guaranteed.
Theories are that Lesnar wins the title and Goldberg wins the RR. But HHH is lurking from the shadows..

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 30
thing is after Goldberg squashed him and the fact he's 2-0 now..nobody wants to see a rematch.
inb4 Goldberg is fed to Strowman
would be into a Goldberg vs Lesnar 3 if it was a triple threat with someone else added

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 30
With the work Strowman's putting in (Watch his match vs big show on youtube from a live event he does a kip up ffs ) he deserves to be THE monster in WWE soon.
No reason a guy who's pushing 400 pounds, but also cut and improving his agility shouldn't go over the likes of end of contract Lesnar and oldberg when he's ready to go
I am impressed by Goldberg though, brought some prime intensity to WWE and he's in great shape. He has enough gas to do short, sharp spot fests too which is what you want.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 30
Hearing bits of his interview with Austin was good, he basically got randomly involved in strongman training and in a short space of time he was competing at a global level, goes to stand his work ethic is ridiculous. He's not just some random guy who won the genetic size lottery and went from there he actually put in a lot of work and now he's doing the same with his wrestling.
