They can't seriously think people are going to buy a 10 year old game just so they can play a 6 hour campaign lmfao.
That's the thing though, gamers are so easy to exploit you know they'll still turn a profit unless people finally wake up
Anybody who pays more than £10 for a 12 year old campaign remaster that is a few hours long and was ALWAYS a side addition to the multiplayer gets no sympy from me.

Might play the beta, if i have nothing else to play. It's extremely unlikely that I'll buy the actual game.

How I feel every year tbh, I always try the beta. See no reason not to what is a free demo.

well, playing the beta is pretty much enough anyways lol. It stops being fun after like 2 days and that's how long the beta runs for.

Wouldn't have known that the game even existed if RG hadn't posted those videos. I wouldn't have bought the last 2-3 CoDs, if it wasn't for Versacci's persuasion.
I'm up for FIFA this weekend, though Does anyone on here still play FIFA 18?

What are your thoughts on the beta, Mole, Tom? Maps, weapons, overall feel of the game etc..

Re: Call of Duty> You Thread.
I'm not sure how i feel tbh
Only one of the maps is bad ( but that map is flatout terrible) Not so sure about the weapons so far, i have good games sometimes and then meh ones and change my mind
Not enough stuff unlocked to really give an overall opinion IMO, was talking about this to Tom's mates last night but i feel like they need to let people unlock more stuff at a faster rate.
I have like two assault rifles and 2 SMGs Also if the beta is any indication SMGs will dominate this game or ARs which can compete up close.

Tried pre-ordering it from Amazon, and apparently that means having to wait 24 hours for a beta code. F that. I'll buy We Happy Few instead.

Can't lie, I'm actually a little bit excited for their return to the Modern Warfare theme. It's not a definite buy for me, though. If they persist on not including an offline campaign, it's even less likely that I'll get it. Infinite Wankers.

Re: Call of Duty> You Thread.
Apparently it will have no season pass, crossplay and on a new engine.
I'm looking for the catch, probably that the game sucks lol.

Re: Call of Duty> You Thread.
Modern Warfare will have an elaborate, single player campaign that's "edgier than ever". Supposedly, it will do one up on the iconic "No Russian" mission from Modern Warfare 2, and part of the campaign has you playing as a terrorist, the other part will include spec ops soldiers from Europe. I assume you'll still control some kind of 'Merican super soldier, as per usual
They claim to have listened to the fans, and in addition to having no season pass and adding free DLC, the online multiplayer portion of the game will apparently support some kind of cross-play with PC players. Not sure how I feel about that, since 99.9% of players will be faster and more accurate on PC compared to console.
Modern Warfare will run on a new engine, with higher graphical fidelity and new features that haven't been revealed yet. All of this sounds really interesting, but I can't help but be sceptical after a decade of disappointments from this franchise. I'm likely to get it though, considering I'll at least get a single player experience out of it. Despite Infinity Ward clearly going out of their way to listen to criticism from fans from over the years, they stress that this is their attempt to re-boot the franchise, not an appeal to the nostalgia of long-time players.

Enjoyed the 6v6 stuff mostly but 10v10 feels like a shit battlefield and that Russian (?) Map is already potentially my least favourite map of all time

Re: Call of Duty> You Thread.
I didn't pre-order it, but I've watched quite a few streams by now. The game kind of looks like Battlefield 3. I don't know why they keep talking about going back to the barebones gameplay of the older games, yet still, decide to add redundant features like making the UAV a killstreak. The time to kill is supposedly similar to that of MW3, which I personally appreciate, but the movement is quite a bit slower for whatever reason. I don't think I'll ever again enjoy Call of Duty maps as much as I enjoyed the maps in MW2 and even MW3. They've completely strayed away from those designs, and the designers are at Respawn entertainment now, so fuck salt.
