we conceded 5 in the first 2 games without Matip.

In the next 5 games since we conceded 5 goals. 1 horrible Lucas mistake. 2 set pieces. and 2 crosses from wide from individual mistakes. So certainly improving in defense. from open play we are very decent defensively. Biggest weakness is set pieces and some brain farts out of nowhere.

after city had played 5 games against scrubs people were saying they are great and will walk the lge. now the same people are saying origi has only played a few games and scored against scrubs so it to early to rate him so far. gotta love this forum

You said it yourself, he is literally in the same situation. Thats why I mentioned him, nothing I've seen from Origi sets him apart from Batshuayi. Yes, there is a 2 year difference or so, thats the only thing and players progress at different rates. You compare him to Martial who is also younger than Origi.

Both he and Batshuayi had a break out season in France, and both moved to the PL to be back ups. Both play for Belgium, both score a similar amount for club and country. Both play to a similar quality.

The guy is very talented, clearly, I just don't see this super talent that is supposed to be better than every upcoming young player anyone mentions.

I want to make absolutely clear that I handed City the title long before the first game was even played.

I continue to be on team McAgger regarding this. Been calling city's early season flurry fluke and i am firmly standing by that. Granted it took a superb spurs team to undo them in the last match but soon the lesser teams too will start to match them and wont lie down and take like in the early games. By now teams will be wary how shite city's back 4 is.

City will still walk the rest of the league, it's just that Tottenham are on another level

I don't remember ever saying city will walk the lge title. But I do think they will win it.

I think it'll be pretty close this year actually. Expect a Spurs repeat of last season where they challenge and then fall off towards the end. Arsenal and Liverpool wildcards and Utd battling one of them for fourth place. I don't think Anyone will walk the league. Think City will win it due to consistency against scrubs throughout the season though.

I actually expected more out of Chelsea tbh, but I knew United would shit the bed. I think I had City, Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea as the top 4. Probably Spurs over Chelsea now, though there are still a lot of games to be played.

I don't think anyone here ever "handed" City the title.

Just that some are of the opinion that they could very well win the league with a healthy margin at the end of the season.
