Arsenal Vs Basel [Champions League]
Arsenal Vs Basel
28/9/16 19:45pm
Emirates Stadium
This match should be straight forward 3 points. Basel are a good team though so they will make it difficult for us. But I am confident that this Arsenal squad isn't like the previous ones and we should be able to win this.
Coquelin is injured so expecting Xhaka to start. ElNeny another contender.
Would actually play Gibbs at LB tomorrow but can't see Arsene doing that.
Ospina is gonna start no doubt.
Maybe something like this
---------------------Ospina--------------------------
Bellerin------Mustafi-------Koscielny------monreal
-------------Xhaka------Cazorla--------------------
Walcott------------Ozil-------------------Iwobi
-------------------Sanchez-------------------------
If Arsene were to surprise us then Perez would start upfront.

Re: Arsenal Vs Basel [Champions League]
Arsene will probably start with that line up then he might surprise us and but Iwobi or Theo on the bench and start with Sanchez on the wing. He may also rest Santi for saturday and start with El Nenny.
Basel are a decent side tactically and they have been playing in the champions league for years. They have had some good result in recent years against top oppositions. I don't think this will be as easy as it is on paper but as long we don't underestimate them we should win. We need to win all the remaining games if we are to stand any hopes of topping the group so 3 point is big must tomorrow.

Re: Arsenal Vs Basel [Champions League]
Would do our confidence and morale so much more good if we rush Basel quick as well like we did Chelsea.
We've put in displays like we did against Chelsea a few times in recent years, but never built on it. It's time that changes.

"Basel’s all white away strip is also deemed unacceptable due to the white sleeves on our home shirt. Basel do not have a third strip."
Wtf Our home shirt is like 80% red.

Re: Arsenal Vs Basel [Champions League]
When Ramsey is fit, will he even be a starter?
Who does he replace, Cazorla? Walcott? Iwobi? Xhaka/Coq?

He is Arsene's son #1 so he will find a place somewhere.
I am guessing Cazorla-Ramsey

Not right now. Would like to see him being eased in.
Was hoping AW made some changes, but he obv has an obsessive compulsive fixation towards playing the same 11 till injuries force his hand.

Re: Arsenal Vs Basel [Champions League]
He definitely does but the problem is that we have a team and a system that has gotten us 8 matches unbeaten.
Not sure if its wise to break it.

I agree we have a system which seems to be starting to work. But does that 8 match unbeaten run include the 11 changes team in the league cup?
If you have a squad, you expect players to come into the playing XI without disrupting the system and dynamics too much. That is why you can rotate.
Wenger doesn't rotate and you can't seriously be defending that!
